On Windows 10

Here is the process of restore files from the Recycle Bin on Windows 10. Follow the instructions carefully.

  • Launch the Settings on Desktop.
  • After that, you can click Personalization.
  • Then select Themes.
  • Click on Desktop icon settings.
  • Now, you can go to Recycle Bin and click on OK.

On Windows 8

Here is the process to restore files from the Recycle Bin on Windows 8. Follow the instructions carefully.

  • Tap the Windows key and after that, click on search.
  • In the search box, you can enter "desktop icons."
  • Make sure you check the box that is located next to the Recycle Bin and then hit OK.

On Windows 7

  • First, you can tap on the Window start button.
  • Then enter "desktop icons" in the search bar.
  • Hit on "Show or hide common icons on the desktop."

  • Press Windows Start icon and select Control panel.
  • Then select "Appearance and Personalization.
  • After that, tap on "Personalization."
  • Then you can see change desktop icons on the left side.
  • Insert a tick next to the Recycle Bin and tap on OK.

On Windows XP

Here is the process to restore files from the recycle bin on Windows XP. Follow the instructions carefully.

  • First, you can press the Windows Start icon.
  • Then select Run from the display.
  • Now, you can enter "regedit" into the dialogue box and then hit OK.
  • Go to the following entry.
  • Tap right on "Name Space" in the left side.
  • Click on "New" and then choose "Key."
  • After that, you can enter the following string into the "Key" field and hit Enter.
  • Press the new registry key and double tap on "Default" in the right side.
  • Then you can enter "Recycle Bin" in the Value data’s field and hit Enter.
  • Now, you can close the Registry Editor, and Recycle Bin is restored now.
