MOSQUITO REPELLENT MACHINE MANUFACTURER IN INDIAHOW DO MOSQUITO REPELLENT LIQUID VAPORIZERS WORK?

The mosquito repellent consists of a liquid mix that gets converted into vapours on moderate heating.

The liquid inside the refill is a mixture of mostly 3 types of chemicals

  1. Insecticide - this makes the mosquitoes fly away
  2. Stabilizer / anti-oxidant - to prevent the insecticide getting oxidized due to heat.
  3. A perfume - to prevent the humans from running away!

All these chemicals are dissolved into deodorized kerosene so that they can be easily vaporized when subjected to temperature.

Insecticides that are primarily used include transfluthrin and stabilizer in form of Butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT).

The mixture is toxic as it can cause a variety of reactions such as dizziness, headache, skin allergies, irritation and other physical reactions.

Transfluthurin is the most important part of the mixture. It passes through the skin of the mosquitoes and cause paralysis making the movement of the mosquitoes slower, thus damaging their nervous system.

Also please note that not all mosquitoes find it toxic. Mosquitoes keep on evolving and some develop immunity to this.
