How to Adjust Fonts on Windows Live Mail in Windows 10

Windows Live Mail helps you receive your emails via a browser or a desktop application. The mails can be received in any format HTML or plain text. The plain text mode is very limited and has no graphics and presentations. Many people find it hard to read the text of their mails due to the small size of the text. So how can you increase the size of fonts on Windows Live Mail? We are here to help, read this article thoroughly and you’ll be able to adjust the fonts on your email client. So let’s get started.

Update the Internet Explorer to Adjust the Font Size

Enlarging the fonts is not going to change anything on your emails, but it will just increase the size of words. To do so, follow the instructions given below:

  1. Open the Windows Live Mail tab (to open it, press the blue button at the top left corner) and then choose Options. After that, select mail.
  2. Click "Fonts" located at the Read tab.
  3. In the Font Size settings, choose largest or whatever size you like. Then just hit the OK button.
  4. You can also enlarge the fonts in the email composing tab. To do that, go to the Compose tab. Now go to Font Settings and then increase the font size for composing emails.
  5. Click the OK button to make changes.

Now to experience the change in font size, update your Internet Explorer security protocols. To do so, read the instructions below:

  1. Visit the "Microsoft Security Bulletin" Page.
  2. Under "Search by bulletin, KB, or CVE number" enter ‘Internet Explorer’ to get the newest security update for your internet explorer.
  3. Navigate to the cumulative security update and click the link which is placed over it.
  4. A new link will open, you will find a link something like "This update is available via windows update’. Click on it to download update for your Internet Explorer.
  5. Now install the updates and then reboot your PC.

Enhance the Font Size by Adjusting the DPI Percentage in Windows

This method will enlarge the whole computer’s fonts, and it can be beneficial if you have poor eyesight. Follow the guidelines below to change the DPI:

  1. Press Right-click on your blank desktop screen and then choose Display settings from the options.
  2. Navigate to Advanced display settings.
  3. Click the "Advanced sizing of text and other items" option.
  4. Navigate to "Custom scaling level in the text".
  5. Now move the slider left or right to adjust the DPI on your system.
