The fresh flowers look good in every house, combine with all the decorations and add a touch of freshness and vitality to any space. A flower arrangement is a perfect complement to every corner and although it seems that it is a matter of grabbing a few flowers and putting them together. You have to know some tricks to make it look good and last a long time. Therefore, below we share our tips:

Choose the right flowers

First, we must know what type of flowers we are going to use since it is not the same to arrange to decorate the table then to decorate the living room of the house. Consider that it is not advisable to use flowers with a lot of aroma in centerpieces because it can be uncomfortable at mealtime.

Consider your care

You must know the type of flower you are going to use. And also depends on where you are going to place it. For example, if you choose a cold-weather flower-like tulip, you better not put it near large windows so that it does not give it direct sunlight. Keep in mind that some flowers and plants need less water than others.

Select the right vase

Once you decide where the arrangement is going in the house, you need to select the vase. The glass ones are more elegant, so if you have a gala dinner, it is best to choose one of this type. If you are thinking of an arrangement for your room, for example, you can play with the styles depending on the decoration as rustic wood, metal or vintage.

Do them the same day

When you have an event, a meal or a meeting and want to fill your house with fresh flowers, preferably make arrangements the same day so that they look alive and fresh. You can do them the day before as long as you keep them in non-hot places and away from the sun.

Keep it simple

Do not complicate yourself, the simpler you keep your arrangement, the more elegant it will look and the easier it will be to take care of it and keep it for a long time. Try that your arrangements have a maximum of three types of flower. It also uses a few plants and foliage.

Use up to three colors

The fewer colors your arrangements have, the more beautiful they will look. It is better to use a maximum of three colors and, preferably, of the same range. If you are going to use pink, combine it with purple and lilac or if you are going to use green, select three shades of that color. So, your arrangements will look good in any space.

Accommodate your flowers

The arrangements always have to look neat. To achieve this, the flowers in the center must be taller than those found near the edges of the vase. In this way, not only will they be accommodated, but they can all be appreciated. Start by placing the flowers closest to the edges and continue towards the center until you place the highest ones.

Tangle stems

An easy way to assemble you arrange to tie the flowers by the stem. So, they will stay together. if you decide to put them in a transparent or glass vase, it will give it a very elegant touch. You can choose the ribbon of the color you prefer.

Keep it in a cool place

If it is very hot, an excellent tip is to put your arrangement in the refrigerator a few hours before your guests arrive. In this way, the cold will make it possible for the flowers to endure longer exposed to high temperatures.

Change the water constantly

Once you have your arrangement, you need to constantly change the water. Do it as soon as you see that it looks another color or every third day. So, it will last much longer. A good tip is to add cold water or some ice to the water that you are going to place so that you extend the life of the flowers.
