Cloud Computing Technology

Cloud computing first arrived in the 1950s which was even before the internet had arrived. Now the irony is, if it is elder than the internet, why it took around half a century to become important?

And how it has instantaneously become so essential that people have managed, envisaged and dreamt to build their lifelong businesses from and on it?

The Scenario

As modernization grew, the scope of artificial intelligence and technological advancement also raised in the form of transformation of storage hardware into virtual storage.

And virtual storage would obviously ask for a virtual place if it is reducing a need of tangible machine for us. That virtual place was termed as Cloud, which is internet-based and so, called ‘Cloud storage’.

Its dependence on the internet was the main reason it took time to get equally epidemic across the globe.

Internet users are like unmatchable for any other business customers, still, there is a steep increase in cloud users as well.

Its revenue has raised with 140 times of gigantic difference in just 13 Years i.e. $2 billion in 2006 to $280 billion in 2019.

What made it become an epidemic?

Modernization is an aspect which we can consider as liable for turning ‘Cloud’ essential.

Modern refers to something that is highly digital. And when something goes digital, the proportion of tentative customers to get connected becomes more than double.

Though there is a deeper analysis required to understand how modernization became a key to it, which is explicit enough from the increasing speed of network we are having. As the faster the network speed, the more the storage is needed to store data.

Though the network speed and storage space are not directly connected but one can understand this fact with the change of mobile phone storage and net speed increment we got in just a decade to say in between 2009 to 2019.

We can skip it for now as it is rather important to understand what makes the cloud worth for a business?

Forms of Cloud Computing

Why Businesses are possible with Cloud?

Any business requires to be a problem solver first, then only one could think to serve it as a service and then to build an empire over it.

Cloud is a big problem solver not only as a reducer of storage hardware but also it serves the globe in other aspects.

Apart from computational abilities which we will mention after this, Cloud services are multifaced and facilitating the world in three of its different forms-

  1. SaaS (Software as a service)
  2. PaaS (Platform as a service)
  3. IaaS (Infrastructure as a service)

SaaS (Software as a Service)

Gmail, Google-Drive, Dropbox are some of the most common examples of SaaS as despite being a software, they are usable through small applications.

They allow the individual or an organization to interact across the globe through a small application on the hands. This modern face of accommodation resolves a lot of time and hardware issue along with almost zero labor efforts.

PaaS (Platform as a Service)

Platforms as in, where a user can work on the cloud. ‘Work’ here refers to the development of any solution. For example, OFFICE 365 allows you to create any worksheet on web irrespective of your location. And you do not need to download any application to work but must have internet connectivity.

IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service)

This is the largest module of cloud computing as it consists of a complete package inclusive of a process of development, space to store, a vault to secure for safety, network to connect and any other computing resource that may help the customer deploying its idea or a software.

Moreover, Cloud basically, on the basis of virtual accessibility, is of three types-

  1. Public- That could be accessed by a user anywhere anytime.
  2. Private- A cloud developed for a specific organization with limited accessibility.
  3. Hybrid- Something that has customized accessibility.

Hybrid cloud is one of the most trending cloud computing services nowadays as most of the businesses are B2C due to which the data requires to be anonymously accessible, anywhere, anytime.

Amazon Web ServicesAmazon Web Service

Amazon Web Service (AWS) is one of the biggest cloud computing business providers with 35 percent of global cloud data.

13 percent of sales revenue of Amazon is from cloud i.e. AWS.

Cloud supports what else?

Cloud storage and Cloud Computing support numerous mainstream computational abilities also which play a major role in their own existence. It includes-

  • Response time of any storage device
  • Its throughput, that is Rate of Processing.
  • The transmission time of data.

It is very rare if you find any cloud computing service unresponsive of any of computational abilities.

Conclusively, the cloud has a potency to solve a major global issue of storage and space along with multi-operational facilitation. And that creates a possibility to build a business on it.

The analysis says, 94 percent of the workload in 2021 will be processed in clouds and none of those organizations who possess cloud services, have to rely on any storage station. Neither there will be any need to rent a space for storage nor a headache to keep the storage temperature friendly.

Cloud services not only helped in computational fundamentals but also it accelerated us in development and its execution. As well as the delivery of the product got a better speed due to complete virtual transferability with adequate security.
