The beta software was released back in June at the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference, providing the answers and racking up expectations regarding the latest iPhones. Here are all the details you may need the beta version of iOS 13 and iPadOS:

Installing the beta iOS 13

The official update for iOS 13 and iPadOS will come this fall, possibly in September. However, there is a taste of upcoming updates in the form of beta available for you.

Although you should only install the beta if you can face some bugs and issues as the beta is rough and buggy features.

1. The iPhones and iPads that will support the new OS

  • iPhone XS
  • iPhone XS Max
  • iPhone XR
  • iPod Touch (7th generation)
  • 12.9-inch iPad Pro
  • iPad Mini 4
  • iPhone 6S
  • iPad Air 2
  • iPad Air (3rd generation)
  • iPhone 6S Plus
  • iPhone SE
  • iPad Mini (5th generation)
  • 11-inch iPad Pro
  • iPhone 7 Plus
  • iPad (5th generation)
  • iPhone 7
  • iPad (6th generation)
  • iPhone 8 Plus
  • 10.5-inch iPad Pro
  • 9.7-inch iPad Pro
  • iPhone X

2. Restricting Unknown Callers

A single tap and you will be able to restrict an unknown caller from ringing your iPhone effectively. When the feature is turned on the iOS will only let your saved contacts, messages, and mail contact you. Everything else will be sent directly to the voicemail.

3. Faster Wi-Fi and Bluetooth

Now you can connect through Bluetooth and Wi-Fi from the Control Center itself, instead of tapping several times to get into the Settings tab.

4. Swipey Keyboard

Android has had the feature for several years, and now iPhones will have it too. You can type anything you want by swiping through the keywords on the keyboard. Apple named it QuickPath Typing, and theoretically, it should be faster than the standard typing.

5. Dark Mode

The Dark Mode will replace the primary light screen mode and will be available for calendar, photos, and music apps.

6. Photos App gets Video Editing options

Managing your photos have now been made several times more comfortable and quicker with new tools in the photo app. The most impressive part is the picture and video editing tool provided now. You can adjust brightness, crop a video, or apply filters right from the Photo app.

7. The Sign In with Apple feature would not share your Email

Apple has added a new privacy feature by the name of Sign In with Apple, much like the option you see by Facebook. However, the alternative offered by Apple is much safer as compared to its counterpart. Through this feature, you would not have to provide your email address in the third-party apps.

With Apple putting users details security as its priority, the feature is a welcome one.

8. New Voice for Siri

Siri gets new voices for herself also:

  • Customized shortcuts are available now.
  • Siri reads out the texts instantly you get them.
  • Songs or Calls can be transferred to HomePod.
  • Siri suggestions are available on the Safari browser.

With the hype already set for the upcoming iPhone, these beta features will only add to the hype even more for Apple.
