COF LCD assemblies are totally different than COG LCD assemblies because they have an IC Chip that is bonded to the flex versus being adhered to the glass. This feature provides many benefits such as higher reliability, less damage, better heat distribution, reduced weight, and more.

COG is going to have the brownish cable, there is not going to be any IC right on the flex. COF it’s will have the Driver IC right here, this is kind closer to the OEM. When the IC driver is on the bottom of it, because it’s going to be little bit smaller, that’s one of the biggest downfalls for COG.

COG and COF have digitizer separated from the LCD. And also both are TFT LCD Screen.

COG does have better brightness, it has everything else. The structure of both these two panels are going to be TFT Panels. Both panels, you will be able to see grid lines right on it, compared to the OEM.
