He had kidnapped 16,000 daughters of the Gods. When the Gods asked Lord Krishna for a help, he killed the demon. But, before he could kill the demon, he had to fight the five-headed monster. Lord Krishna also asked for one last request of the demon. Narkasura replied to celebrate the day with great fervor and Lord Krishna granted that. This freed up all the girls.
