Besides these, there is something you must have to be aware of when you are planning to get admission in Delhi University.
- First of all you have to fill the online form of DU, there is also another option of getting registered offline, but online process is quite more natural than offline, In the way you have to select the course, you want to pursue from this university, and also for your kind information, you don't have to put your college preference yet.
- After filling the online form, you have to wait for the result, and after that you have to wait for the cut off list, You have to make your presence on the day in the university when cut-offs are to be released, the official site of the university gets slower at a time of cutoff announcement due to heavy traffic of the interested aspirants, so you have to be patient, you will get enough time to go through the list and make your own choice.
After getting the information about the cut off list, you have an option to select a college, under which you want to complete your UG course, but make sure that the college you are applying comes under your cutoff marks, Now comes a very important steps and that is about the documents you need while filling up your form and those are, Class 10 Certificate, Migration Certificate/ Transfer Certificate, 12th Class Certificate, 4-5 Passport Size Photographs and any other certificate that you have got while passing out the intermediate examination, and make photocopies of all the documents at least 3-4 copies of each one, there is also one anti-ragging affidavit, but you don't have to worry about that, you will find a lot of cyber cafe near the college to get this job done, Also not all the colleges will ask for this document.
4. Now note the address of the college you want to take admission, check all the routes from your home or maybe PG, and make sure about the time it will receive from your accommodation to the college premises, remember it's a first come first serve admission scheme, so don't be late at all to reach the college and also double check all the documents.
When you will reach the college you will be assigned a couple of forms to fill on the spot, and you may have to pay some charges for this, fill it and submit it on the counter, the person in charge will check and verify all your documents and also make sure that you have cleared the cut off marks, Once confirms that the confirms and explained your application, he/she will forward it upstairs and you will be directed to pay the fee, this fee payment part may also happen on the next day, one thing you should know that the college will keep all your original documents till the admission procedure is over in the university, So in case if you get selected in a better college, you will have to go back to this college and cancel your admission to get your documents back, your fees will be refunded later. This is what today’s classroom looks like in a popular course at a prominent Delhi University college.
