New Prom Dresses & Old Memories

I remember looking forward to going prom dress shopping with my mom. Mom enjoyed picking out different suggestions for me and I loved trying them all on for her. Surprisingly, it never took me too long too find that perfect dress.

It was the late 80's after all, and now I can't believe I thought a couple of them were the "perfect" prom dress. My freshman year I wore a full length, pink and white striped off the shoulder gown. For some odd reason I can't remember my sophomore prom dress??? Junior year I wore a teal colored short and strapless dress which the green one below reminded me of.

Then for senior year (1990), I wore the lovely black dress pictured to the right and my friend is in the long white.

Even though the styles and trends come and go, it is always fun to shop for your prom dress.

It's also easier and more convenient to shop for prom now with all our technology. You can view and compare thousands of dresses online and not waste a penny on gas.

FitDress is a great place to shop online for the prom dress of your choice. They give you several ways to filter your search to make it easy to find exactly what you are looking for. You can choose your length, color, fabric, neckline, style and price all with the click of a button.

Below are just a couple of the dresses that caught my eye from the new arrivals. View more FitDress new arrivals

I've always liked the a-line style dress because it gives you the look of both a long and short style.

As you can tell, I seem partial to strapless also. It makes me feel more glamorous.

I like the full length fuscia gown below for feeling like a princess on that special night.

Do you remember what color or style your prom dress was? I would love to hear, just comment below.

I was told to pick any outfit I wanted so I sent her mom to their website and she picked out a cute orange and white top with silver studs and I then went to work picking out the bottoms. Being told that she needs one size for length but the waist is usually too big unless they have an adjustable waist I found exactly what she needed. Black, stretch jeans with rhinestone decorations on the back pockets an adjustable waist.

I have to tell you when I first saw the jeans I thought they’d be too long but I had to keep reminding myself I hadn’t seen the little Diva in 2 years so she might be taller than I am right now.

The day she put the outfit on I was amazed at how great everything fit. The waist has a button and zip front with little elastic tabs inside that you can pull to gather the waist around the sides and back. The elastic has button holes that you can fasten to buttons on both sides of the waistband. This is perfect for keeping the fit you want even when washing.
