Context of Hajj and Umrah

Health research agendas for public meetings should address all aspects of public meetings to optimize knowledge in this area, and important research areas have been proposed. Decision Makers in Public Health.

Since the health field of public meetings is in its infancy, many issues in this field have not yet been addressed through scientific research, even in the context of Hajj and Umrah. Number of scientific publications available in Hajj or Umrah related publications until 2016.

Although this is not a comprehensive list of all publications related to these topics in literature, it is an appropriate indicator of the level and type of scientific and academic interest in these public meetings. Umrah packages from Houston Some observations can be made: 1) Research and academic interest in Hajj has increased since 2000, especially after 2012.

This may be partly due to increased awareness of the health of group meetings after the establishment of medicine in mass meetings as a formal system, 2) in general, and also compared to the pilgrimage, there has been fewer research devoted to pilgrimage enormous encounter for Umrah.

This may be due in part to the fact that Hajj is an internationally promoted event compared to Umrah; 3) Most research and publications on Hajj or Umrah have focused mainly on infectious diseases and, to a lesser extent, on noncommunicable diseases.

The above indicates that although there are encouraging signs of increased interest in health research for mass meetings in Hajj and Umrah, much of this research has focused on Hajj and has been limited to important areas, but nevertheless limited health from group meetings.

Hajj and Umrah research must be encouraged and supported for several reasons: First, Hajj is a fertile environment for health research for group meetings in all aspects of Hajj, including those limited to Umrah.. Few studies explore this enormous meeting; therefore, the opportunities for basic and applied research and translation during Umrah are abundant.

Secondly, unlike Hajj, Umrah is a pilgrimage almost throughout the year; therefore, research can be planned and carried out at any time during the year without having to adapt research projects to specific dates in the calendar year.

This allows for repeatability and greater flexibility in conducting studies. For example, search protocols can be modified and adjusted accordingly once they begin, studies can be extended as appropriate, and data collection and sampling can be repeated to improve quality, all relatively easily without significant delay in the research schedule.

Third, although the rituals of Hajj and Umrah are not identical, some aspects of these rituals are similar. In addition, both pilgrims are group religious meetings, organized in the same holy cities and have a similar population of pilgrims. Therefore, many aspects of these group meetings are shared and researchers interested in investigating some of the health characteristics of group meetings during the Hajj can do so effectively during the Umrah.

Fourth, the enormous Umrah meeting is a friendlier research environment than Hajj. Unlike Hajj, Umrah has fewer restrictions regarding access and freedom of movement in holy cities, as well as more opportunities to interact with pilgrims in a more relaxed environment.
