Due to the purpose of extending the battery life, power bank charger has been invented. However, one of the most common false for a power bank is to falsify the declared capacity of the battery cell, which is hard to detect and practice among illegal manufacturers.

Needless to say, what i am going to say is coming with adequate reasoning and proofs.

Once, I've met a Chinese manufacturer at a China trade fair, and he was selling power bank for iphone 5 with a fairly low price, which is unbelievable. Driven by curiosity, I asked the sales to learn more details about the product. From the talk, I realized that they cut the corners of the product to reach at a low price. I felt numb with horror, they openly admitted that the industry standard was to use a 1800mAh cell into the product and pass it off as 2400mAh cell. Once again, I made more contrasts to other similar manufacturers. The results confirm my suspicious. They produced their power banks with almost the same design, however, the capacities ranged from 2200, 2600 and 2800 to even 3000mAh.Such a thing was unexpected to me.

On one occasion, I come across a online buyer who commented that their 20000mAh power bank was perfect because it was so light. In a matter of fact, the only reason why a power bank with high capacity is light is because it's probably missing some of cells inside. Even if it feels that the weight is right, it still may not be. They could be filled with sand. As the capacity of the battery is hard to test, it will create more chances for the manufacturers to produce false products. The fact is, the counterfeit phenomenon has become a social issue facing economic society.
