No matter their age, women want to look and feel incredible. Be it at work, on vacation or on one of your worst days ever, you can follow some pieces of advice to improve your looks and make everybody jealous of how incredible you feel. From mental health to physical health and beauty tips, we have everything you need, below.

Adjust your diet

You are what you eat, and nobody can deny the importance of a healthy and nourishing diet. Because your diet plays a huge role in the way your skin looks, it influences your weight and energy levels, we cannot emphasize enough how important your diet is.

To keep everything working smoothly, and most importantly look your best, specialists recommend increasing your daily intake of fruits and vegetables. Besides, foods with a high concentration of Omega-3 fatty acids will contribute to raising your energy levels and improving your skin. Look into foods like nuts, seeds, pumpkin and oranges. Increasing your vitamin intake will help tremendously.

Adjust your protein intake and try to lower your carb intake. Look into foods like kidney beans, eggs, cheese and lean meats. Ditch white bread and pasta from your diet and replace these with healthier alternatives. Whole grain bread and pasta are solid replacements. Besides, the Asian kitchen has some impressive pasta replacements, too. Rice noodles, for instance, are incredibly nutritious and help you remain lean.

Take care of your mental health

Your mental health plays a huge role in the way you look. Apart from the obvious, that people tend to forget to take care of their appearance once they encounter mental hardship, poor mental health will make you look your worst even if you try to keep up the appearances. If you struggle with affections like anxiety or depression, seeking professional help will help you overcome these issues more efficiently. If your budget doesn’t allow to seek help in specialised centres, look for local mental health research facilities. Sometimes, they offer free consultations for patients.

Alternatively, try to find support groups in your area and attend the meetings. A happy person is always a beautiful person!

Relax, relax, relax

If you want to look and feel your best, relaxation is the key. Although your schedule may be busy and your life, chaotic, you can still find a couple of hours a week to visit a local spa and relax. Get yourself a massage, allow yourself to be pampered by the skilled staff at the spa, and you will look and feel your best. Certain massages not only improve the way your skin looks and feels, but they also contribute to making you feel more fulfilled and happier.

Finding time for yourself also means you can spend it in different other ways you like. From listening to music to walking the neighbourhood or interacting with your pet, everything counts as relaxation if you do it mindfully.

Research some meditation techniques and try them in the comfort of your home. You will learn how to unload your mind and focus on the important things in life. Meditation also helps you regulate your breathing, and it helps you improve the overall quality of your life.

Drink your daily recommended amount of water

Everybody today knows how important drinking enough water is. But even so, people usually forget to do it anyway. Your body is largely comprised of water. Your body cells need it to function properly. When the human body is depleted of water, people experience a series of unpleasant symptoms, one of the most severe being headaches. However, other organs in your body also have to suffer.

For instance, when you don’t drink the recommended amount of water, your skin starts to show fine lines. Drinking at least 8 glasses of water per day will help your skin look plump and healthy. Plus, it will give you the kick you need to go through your day with a huge smile on your face.

Adjust your sleep schedule

Sleeping right shows on your face, whether you like it or not. The lack of sleep will make the undereye area look puffy and tired and will make you feel drowsy throughout your entire day. Try to get somewhere between 7 and 8 hours of sleep every night and you will notice a huge improvement in your skin, but also your mood!

Being physically active plays a huge role

Your mental and physical health both depend on how active you are daily. To look and feel your best, try to hit the gym as frequently as possible. If the gym is not your favourite place, try other methods to get your daily dose of exercise. Run outdoors, walk your dogs, do yoga in the comfort of your home. But whatever you do, just keep moving.
