About Bank Exam

Banking has two sectors one is private sector and other is public sector or government sector. In private sector bank individual bank will conduct the recruitment to select the eligible candidates for the post, but in public sector bank individual bank will not conduct recruitment process, instead of bank government will conduct the recruitment for all public sector bank.

Exams conducted for public sector banks are,

  • IBPS RRB office Assistant
  • SBI PO
  • SBI clerk
  • IBPS specialist officers
  • NABARD Grade ‘A’ & ‘B’ Officers
  • RBI Assistant Exam
  • SBI Probationary officers
  • IBPS Clerk
  • NABARD Development Assistant
  • RBI Grade B Exam
  • IBPS Regional Rural officers
  • IBPS PO

These lists of exam will be conducted by Institute of Banking Personnel Selection, State Bank of India, Regional Rural Bank and National Bank of Agriculture and Rural Development.

If there is any vacancies available in the public sector bank, exam notification will be release for the bank exam. Bank exam is conducted every year. This bank exam is one of the ever-lasting attempted by the candidates for all the times.

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection:

IBPS Exam is one of the preferred exams by the candidates. This exam also conducted every year. IBPS three posts. They are,

  • IBPS Probationary Officer
  • IBPSC Clerk
  • IBPSC Specialist Officer

Eligibility criteria for IBPS Exam:

Exam Qualification Age limit

IBPS SO 20 yrs to 30 yrs Degree

IBPS PO 20 yrs to 30 yrs Degree

IBPS Clerk 20 yrs to 28 yrs Degree

Candidates who are all eligible with these above criteria only can apply for the IBPS bank exam

Selection process for IBPS:

IBPS has three stages of selection process. The stages are,

  • Preliminary Exam
  • Mains Exam
  • Interview

Candidates who are all cleared the prelims exam will attend the mains exam which the next stage to prelims exam and candidates who are all qualified the mains exam with required cut off marks will be call for the interview process which is the last stage. Candidates who cleared all three stage will process to the document verification.

IBPS PO (IBPS Probationary Officer):

Prelims: It has 100 questions which cover aptitude- 35 questions, reasoning- 35 questions and english- 30 questions and totally it carries 100 marks. Time duration to complete the exam is 1 hr and it is the online mode exam with multiple choices for the questions. For every wrong answer 0.25 marks will be deducted.

Mains Exam: It has 155 questions, cover english- 35 items, aptitude- 35 items, banking and general awareness- 45 items, reasoning and computer- 45 items and totally it carries 200 marks. Exam will be conducted for 3hrs time duration. It has descriptive paper in English that candidates have to write an essay and letter for 25 marks in 30 minutes.

Interview: Interview is conducted for 100 marks. 40% is minimum score but for SC/ST/PWD/OBC have to score 35% as minimum.

IBPS Clerk:

Prelims: It has 100 questions which cover aptitude- 35 questions, english- 30 questions and reasoning- 35 questions, and totally it carries 100 marks. Time duration to complete the exam is 1 hr and it is the online mode exam with multiple choices for the questions.

Mains Exam: It has 190 questions, cover english- 40 items, aptitude- 50 items, banking and general awareness- 50 items, reasoning and computer- 50 items and totally it carries 200 marks. Exam will be conducted for 3hrs time duration.

IBPS Clerk as no interview process. Candidates will be selected on the basis of marks they obtained in the mains exam.
