Wall Township is situated in Monmouth County in the state of New Jersey. This township is 39 miles south of New York, New York and 8 miles north of Brick, New Jersey. It had a total population of 26,164 permanent residents as of the 2010 US census. Wall Township was officially incorporated as a township on the 7th of March in 1851 through an act of the New Jersey Legislature. The township, which is a part of the Monmouth-Ocean Metropolitan Area, enjoys quick and convenient access to its neighboring cities and towns.

• The North American Lenni Lenape tribe was the first inhabitants of the area until the Europeans arrived and began to settle there. England’s King Charles II ordered the colonization of the land between the Hudson and Delaware in 1664. The area was named Albania and Novo Cesaria before it was finally named Wall.

• Wall Township was named in honor of General Garett D. Wall who led a company of Trenton volunteers during the War of 1812. Wall served as a clerk of the New Jersey Supreme Court for five years and as quartermaster general for over 20 years.

• Glendola, Allenwood, and West Belmar are unincorporated areas and census-designated places (CDP) within Wall Township.

• New York City, Atlantic City, and Philadelphia are just over an hour away from Wall Township.
