Running and e-Commerce Store is a business like any other business, it also needs planning. A Long Term Planning as a well as Short Term Planning. You have to prepare a proper and complete plan with a clear mind for different aspects of your e-Commerce business. Such as-

  • How to get new Customers?
    • Product Launch
    • Effective Marketing
    • Shipping and Logistics
    • Customer Support
    • Refund Policy

    Low Traffic

You need traffic, getting traffic is a crucial thing for any type of Website, either a personal Blog or Online Store. Here traffic means, people who visit your Website. We need people whom we sell our Products. If you are not getting enough traffic on your Store then it is impossible to sell any product online, which results in failure.

    High Competition

Another big reason is competition. Online Shopping is becoming a trend as a world is becoming more Digital. An increase in the number of online Stores and Some Big Online Retailers like Amazon creates difficulties for new Store Owners to sell products. Because big stores are offering those products already.

This also results in Small Online Business Owners quit.

    No Patience

Patience is important if you are running an Online Store or you have a plan to start an Online Store. Because as we mentioned above due to the high competition maybe you will be ignored first.

You cannot make a huge profit overnight. Sometimes it will take months or years. You have to be patient until you got success.

    Not Optimizing for SEO

SEO is also called Search Engine Optimization. It is a process to get free unpaid traffic to your Website or Blog. SEO is a complete process and day to day battle. SEO starts from Buying Domain name to Link Building. Include On-Page, Off-Page & Technical SEO.

You have to optimize your Site as per Google Guide Line.

Note- Use only White Hat Techniques

    Poor Website Navigation

When a visitor land on your Website, make sure he/she will not feel any difficulty to find any Page, Category, etc. Your Website Navigation is user-friendly. If your Website is not user-friendly than it will increase the Bounce Rate and Google doesn’t like it. Google will throw your Website down and down. You lose traffics and again, results in Business Failure.

    Non-Secure Website (Non-HTTPS)

Secure Website is key to your Online Business Success. Because it helps you in many ways.

Google Officially announced that Secure Website is a major ranking factor. It means if you have an HTTPS it will help to rank, and if you have good content created, Using Images with High Resolution and your Site is not secure you cannot get the rank which you deserve.

Frauds on the internet are not a new thing. By using HTTPS, it will encrypt all the data, like Credit Card numbers, Passwords, etc.

No one wants to buy any product from a nor secure Site. If you have HTTPS not enabled, do it. You can ask your Hosting Provider to enable HTTPS.

    No or Bad Customer Support

Fast Customer Support will build trust. If you provide good customer support, they will come back to your Store for buying products. You will lose if you are not providing good customer support.

    Lack of Investment

It takes money to make money. There are different aspects of your Store such as Shipping, Delivery, maintaining the Website, etc needs investment.

    No Consistency

"If you remain consistent in what you do you’ll find success much quicker".

Consistency is a must; you have to stick to it. So many people start Online Business with good intentions and motivation first but with the passage of time they became dull and their consistency dips.
