Ford has announced that they will begin accepting orders for the 2015 Ford Mustang Fastback this week. The 2015 Ford Mustang has received a lot of hype for the last two years, as the company worked tirelessly to redesign the iconic muscle car for its 50th year of production. The 2015 model will not only mark the cars 50th year of production, but it will also be the 6th incarnation of the vehicle.

Ford has unveiled the 2015 Mustang at six different auto shows in the last year, and concepts of the vehicle have been floating around for some time now, as well. Ford promises an all-new vehicle, with advanced sophistication and greater customization options. As of now, the 2015 Mustang will come with three different engine options available. An all-new 2.3-litre EcoBoost Inline-4 will be offered. The new engine will boast 305 horsepower. The car will also be available in a 3.7-litre V-6, as well as a 5.0-litre V-8. They will offer 300 and 420 horsepower, respectively. Both the V-6 and the V-8 have been available on past models. All engines will be made available in a manual transmission, as well as an automatic transmission.

New engine options are far from the only thing different about the new Mustang. Everything has been completely redesigned, and both the interior and exterior offer a car that not only speaks to the future, but also pays homage to vehicles long, illustrious history. Outside potential owners will find sharp, aggressive lines that meld seamlessly into rounded edges, for a mix of futuristic-style, and classic charm. Both the back end and the front end have the charm of the original mustang, but the deep, aggressive lines seen on the side create a cool and crisp look.

Inside, the 2015 Mustang is equipped with all of the creature comforts a person could want. Push to start, and navigation options are available. The bucket seats, however, speak to the racing heritage of the Mustang. The car, however, does fail in leg room for backseat passengers. You won’t be fitting a car seat, or a full-size adult in the back, but the Mustang was never marketed or intended as a family car, anyway.

There are several different interior and exterior options available, as well. The most talked about, however, is the 50th Anniversary package. The package packs on Chrome fittings along the exterior of the car, and the interior is decked out in supple leather with racing stripes sewn in.

Gas mileage is also expected to be good on the new 2015 Ford Mustang. The 2014 model can garner about 31 miles per gallon on the highway, and Ford has already stated the 2015 EcoBoost is expected to do better in terms of gas mileage than previous incarnations. No official data has been released, but experts argue 33 miles to the gallon or better can be expected from the new engine. The original V-6 is also expected to produce better gas mileage than previous model years, although nothing has been released regarding the V-8s gas mileage.

With all that being said, many people are itching to order the 2015 Ford Mustang, and that is now a reality at any Ford dealer in the area. While orders are being taken as of now, the 2015 Ford Mustang is not expected to roll into dealerships until late 2014 and into 2015. Ford has suggested they will be doing a staggered, global release through 2015 of the car. The 2015 Ford Mustang starts at just over $24,000 in the North America market.
