Pain Relief with Sleep

Joints, the very parts in your body where there is a connection between bones and connective tissue can be tricky. They function in varying degrees and movement. When there is inflammation, or discomfort resulting in pain that arises from a point in the joint whether from muscles, tendons, bone, or cartilage there is pain which many refer to as arthritis. Joint pain often ranges from mild with discomfort originating from certain specific tasks or activities to severe where there is limited ability at movement and the pain is overwhelming. However, relief may be in sight if you suffer from any range or degree of this pain. It just takes patience and trying different solutions maybe at different times that can be quite effective in pain relief.

Let Nature Take Its Course

Before your head hits the pillow for the night and you are dealing with joint pain try and do some things that should help you sleep. First you can soak in a nice bath and with an addition of Epsom salt that reduces inflammation due to magnesium sulfate ease the pain. The relief may be instantaneous or slowly throughout the night to take the acute sensation away. Exercise, movement, stretching, nothing is more natural than moving and any type of exercise that stretches and strengthens the joints lubricating and relieving pain is a win for you if tolerable. Another natural pain relief idea is the addition by supplement or through foods of adding more calcium, Vitamin D, or Glucosamine to your diet.

There is nothing like getting a good night's sleep and when there is pain and discomfort it is quite difficult to settle in and rest.Make sure to leave out any coffee or other stimulants as much as possible as this can aggravate symptoms and flare ups. Set the atmosphere where relaxing music that calms and soothes is playing. Anything that you find that calms you like a good book or using aromatherapy such as lavender or eucalyptus can bring just the right atmosphere to promote falling and staying asleep as will be beneficial in a holistic approach to pain.

Taking your health into your own hands by even utilizing meditation, and breathing techniques to create a physical, mental and spiritual environment is a great tool. Visualization and transporting yourself to a relaxing frame of mind, counting sheep (yes that is a real technique) can neutralize joint pain or even cast if off in the first place. Finding support items such as pillows, hot or cold packs and even towels places strategically may be beneficial while resting.
