Dust collector is a system which is composed of a dust filter, a container for handling dust, a blower and a system which cleans the filter of the dust collector automatically. This system is used in different areas where there are heavy dust loads, for example in areas such as factories. These are available in different types such as wet scrubbers, fabric filters, unit collectors, electrostatic precipitators and inertial separators. Discussed below is more on the different types of dust collectors which are used in different industries:

Wet Scrubbers: There are some dust collectors which use liquid for collecting dust. These dust collectors are known as wet scrubbers. In such collectors, the scrubbing liquid is used to wash the gas and remove the dust which is present in the gas. The liquid which is used in these dust collectors is water. Wet scrubbers are available in different forms depending on their use.

Fabric Filters: Also known as bag houses, these filters use filtration for separating dust from the gases which are dusty. They are widely used for collecting dust as they are affordable and also efficient. When it comes to collecting fine particles, fabric filters are considered the most efficient among all others. These filters are available in different types depending on the material which needs to be collected.

Electrostatic Precipitators: When it comes to their working, electrostatic precipitators are different from wet scrubbers and fabric filters. In the case of this dust collector, direct current discharge electrodes are placed between collecting electrodes which are grounded at a high voltage. Contaminated gases are made to pass through the passage which is formed between electrodes. The particles present in the air receive a negative charge as they go through the field which has been ionized. All the particles get attracted to a positively charged electrode and stick to it.

Unit Collectors: This dust collection system has a dust collector and a fan. Unit collectors are completely different from other types of dust collectors. This is because unit collectors stop the contamination of the gas at the time of its source. They are most commonly used forms of dust collectors.

To sum up, there are a variety of Dust Collectors available in the market. They are known for their easy operation and handling. Also, they come with large volume waste storage tank. Superior quality Dust Collectors can be sourced from reputed Dust Collector Manufacturers.
