The game of pool looks extremely easy on the eyes, when it is being played by the pros. There no doubt that the beginning stages are extremely hard. However, most beginners could quickly play with ease, if they follow certain things which we are going to share in this post. Stay tuned!

1. Using low deflection shaft: -When it comes to low deflection shafts, there is absolutely no exception to not using it, especially if you need to play the left and right spin shots.Regular shafts will cause the cue ball to miss the target ball whereas a low deflection shaft will help you to target the ball at the accurate point and to achieve a spin at the same time.

If you are having a hard time aiming the ball to the desired point, then you are probably playing with a regular shaft. All the professional players now use LD shafts. Katana is one of the reputed brands that provides LD shafts. Although LD shafts have become cheaper in the recent years, they are significantly expensive.

At Titostablegames, we have no dearth of LD shafts from a broad range of quality manufacturers.

  1. Keeping the stick parallel to the ground: -It is vitally important to keep the stick parallel to the surface. A lot of beginners make the mistake of aiming the target ball from different angles, which results in a lot of bad shots.
  2. Keeping the right pressure on the grip: -Having a tight grip on the cue shaft will only make it difficult to hit the cue ball at the desired point. The key is to have a loose yet firm grip and increase the grip pressure gradually as your slide the shaft towards the cue ball.
  3. Perfect stance: - There is no such thing as perfect stance for playing the pool. Taller people are likely to bend both of their knees. The best stance for an individual is the one, which allows him to be aligned in the direction of the shot with comfort.
  4. Chin: - Keeping the chin slightly above the cue is extremely important. This helps to aim the target ball correctly. Keeping the chin anywhere else will give a different angle to aim, which will likely result in the deviation from the desired trajectory.

Hitting the ball too far from the center

The closer to the center you aim, the less deviation occurs. However, in order to achieve the spin, one needs to aim away from the center. Of all the above mistakes, the most frustrating experience comes from using regular shafts. And this is why we heavily recommend to use the LD ones.
