In today’s world, batteries play an important role in functioning of almost every kind of device. We have become so dependent on them that our world without batteries is unimaginable. Two of the common variants of batteries in use are the lead acid batteries and the lithium ion batteries.   • Charging– these batteries can be charged faster as compared to lead batteries. Also, their depth of discharge is much higher than that of lead batteries.
  • Safety– lithium batteries are made from components that are stable under a lot of conditions. This makes them safer to use as the risk of fires or explosions are almost negligible. This is not the case while using lead acid batteries.
  • Lifecycle– the efficiency of a battery to charge and discharge is a measure of its lifespan. Lithium iron batteries can last longer in terms of the number of this charge/discharge cycles it can undergo when compared with the traditional lead acid batteries.
  • Environment friendly– the components used in the manufacture of a lithium iron battery are non-toxic and eco-friendly. That means even if they are discarded outside (although not recommended), they do not cause any harm to the environment or any living being.

The modern world has evolved a lot in terms of technology and batteries are an integral component of this advancement and it can be said that they power the world. Batteries come in various forms, sizes, shapes etc according to the requirement and they also are made from different chemical constituents with varied inherent properties.
