If you really want companionships from them, give them as much freedom as you can. The cages should be big enough so that they can move inside it freely. You can also close the windows and doors for some time and let them outside of their cages and let them take flight inside the house. You can also keep them outside in your balcony with the cage or without it. Build some kind of mesh protection in your balcony, clean up the balcony by calling professional cleaning services near you or yourself and let them out of the cage so that they might enjoy fresh air also. This way they can trust you more and also remain happy living with you just you are being with them.

SO, if you are keeping pet birds at home always try to keep the war at night. It’s much better if you keep them in rooms where you frequently go into. You can take them out during the daytime for some fresh air, but once cool breezes that blowing in the evening or night time, they need to get back inside. If they don’t remain warm and comfortable, then it might invite unrequired diseases to your pets.

You can watch them during their baths as well. They really like to take good care of themselves and bathe for quite sometimes attending to each of their body parts. Considering this, if you have birds try to keep their cages tidy and sanitary. Also, if you are letting your bird out, then keep your house clean as well. Most domestic pet birds normally feed on fruits, vegetables, and pellets. Bird pellets, nuggets, crumbles, seeds of different fruits and vegetables, and grains are preferred for a healthy diet of the avian species. Oranges, berries, spinach, and celery should be added into the diet and plenty of water is needed to keep them hydrated. Birds have little stomachs so they intake very less food and water every time they feed. So their frequency of eating is more times. Change the water daily and always keep them hydrated.

Keep your home pest-free

Birds can easily get infected. Most of the infections are brought inside the home by various kinds of pests. Pests like cockroaches and rodents may pay a visit into or nearby to the cage or your pet and feed on the remains of its food. These pests do not come alone. They bring various bacteria and viruses that might cause avian diseases for your pet.
