Chemical-based products used in farming are known as agrochemicals. These are used to boost crop yield and have been used in a number of different forms for a long period of time. With modern times and innovations, more effective agrochemicals have been created by agro chemicals suppliers, such as Dharmaj Crop Guard Limited, and are used in the agriculture industry. With a better crop yield rate, agrochemicals allow farms to produce more food to supply the global population. Some of these agrochemicals and their uses are as follows:

Pesticides

Insects and animals pose a great risk to the crops. If they are draw to the crops, they could majorly deplete the supply. Pesticides protect the crops by incapacitating, warding off or by killing invasive species.

The use of pesticides is not limited to only boosting crop yield. A number of pests that are drawn to the crop carry diseases with them. Before pesticides were used globally, many people contracted illness by eating plants which had been infected by these pests. With the increase of pesticides, the threat is much smaller now.

Insecticides

Insecticides are essentially the same as pesticides. The only major difference between these two is that pesticides target a broader category of different types of pests, while insecticides only target insects specifically. However, this does not mean that they are not useful.

Insecticides are made specifically to guard against a particular species of insects. This makes them the best choice where one specific type of insect species is common. Moreover, insecticides are divided into two different types. The first type, called contact insecticide, kills an insect as soon as it comes into contact with the plant. These are extremely effective but the effects are short lasting as this type of insecticide doesn’t remain on the plant for a long duration.

The other form of insecticide becomes a part of the plant. The effects do not wear off with time and the insecticides are essentially absorbed into the plan. As the insect tries to consume the plant, it also consumes the insecticides.

Herbicides

Insects and animals are not the only threats to crops. Various different species of plants can start growing in the same area as the crop, consuming the resources and nutrients. Herbicides are used to kill off unwanted or invasive species of plants. The useful crops stay unharmed and it gives them a better chance to thrive by allowing them to use all the nutrient in the soil for themselves.

Fungicide

Different species of fungus also causes major damage to the crops. In such cases, fungicides are used, which are also easily available to an average consume in different forms. Fungicides is applied to the crops and prevents Fungi from doing damage to them.

The agrochemicals market is a highly competitive market, which has been growing ever since. The research & development of new agrochemicals products is aggressive and the best Agro chemicals manufacturers - Dharmaj Crop Guard Limited, have been finding better forms of the above mentioned agrochemicals each year.
