Most of the students face a problem because they don’t know where to start preparing for exam especially Maths. Furthermore, the subject has long and tricky calculations which take a little while to understand and solve. Generally, in exams, the students panic while solving the paper and due to which they are unable to solve the paper before time. So, to help them we have prepared the NCERT Solutions for students. Along with the solutions we have prepared a list of points which will help them in preparing for the exams.

Things to remember before starting Maths preparation
  1. Know the examination pattern

For writing smoothly and efficiently the first thing you need to do is to understand the examination pattern. For which you can do by referring to the previous year question papers. Also, you need to understand the question paper design which will familiarize you with the structure of the question paper.

Furthermore, this will help you to know the different exam formats and marks wise breakup of the syllabus. Moreover, once you have the basic idea about the question’s pattern and marks breakup you won’t find it difficult to understand the structure of the exam on the day of paper. Along with that, the NCERT Solutions and other study material will also prove helpful to you.

  1. Prepare a strategy

After you understand the paper, the second job is to analyze the examination paper and preparation of a pattern. To do this, firstly, check the number of questions, their type, and marks breakup. In addition, see that you have to solve 30 questions in 3 hours i.e, 180 minutes so divide the time accordingly.

Furthermore, divide the time according to the marks of the question in this way you will get more time to solve long answers. Moreover, do remember that you have to divide time in a way that you can still have time for revision in the last 10-20 minutes. Also, keep in mind that there is no negative marking in boards, so try to attempt all the questions of the paper.

  1. Effectively use the first 15 minutes of the paper

CBSE offers an additional 15 minutes before the paper for reading the question paper. Also, these 15 minutes can be very useful as you can prepare a strategy to write the entire question in the exam properly. Moreover, categorize all the 30 questions in easy, moderately easy, and tough. Furthermore, make a rough plan for overall papers so that you can attempt it smoothly and correctly.

In addition, understand the worth of each question and spend the decided time only. Do not waste time remembering the answer otherwise you will be left with a loss of some important marks.

  1. Maintain accuracy and speed

It means that you need to maintain accuracy while solving the questions quickly. Furthermore, make sure that you don’t get confused between two different topics. Also, implement quicker methods to save your precious time. Besides, be very alert with the signs and terms in the problems, others will take a lot of time for correction of the wrong answer. Pay attention while copying a question from the question paper.

  1. Closely watch the time

Along with answering the paper keep an eye on the clock otherwise your paper will be left unsolved. Furthermore, adhere strongly with the time allocation you have decided for each question from the beginning. Nevertheless, a minor variation in the time allocation to each section is not a reason to worry.

Preparing for the exam is not as easy as it sounds. You need to prepare a strategy to write down the exam in a proper way in the time allotted. So, study hard and prepare smartly.
