Window screens are meant to cover the windows and protect them outside harshness. They undoubtedly do their job very well but sometimes, because of enduring the harshness all the time, they can also start longing for attention. The window screens protect the window but there is nothing for its protection so sometimes this protector also cries for repair.

There are many reasons which can drag the window screens to the point of repair or replacement.

Natural Elements

If your window screen has endured the hailing whole night then you can expect a little tiredness from it in the morning. The tough beating of the snow or hailing can crack it or mess with its shape. A little mess created in any of it can lead to its complete uselessness. The storms and harsh winds can even detach the screen from its original and place and take it with itself.

These situations are obviously rare but they can be a source of your window screen’s breakage or dysfunctionality.

Moreover, it is not necessary that weather can become a sudden source of accidental breakage or some other lighter problem in the form of the window screen but the weather can slowly affect the window screen too. Now it depends on the material from which that screen is made. For example, the wooden screen can swell when it rains and after a lot of time of raining, it is swollen to the point of no return because of the weakness in its foundational making.

Similarly, iron or metal can rust because of weather conditions. Sun can have its own effect on the screen too. So, the outside weather can become a big source in taking your window screen to the point of repair.

Unnatural Elements

Along with natural elements, there are some reasons too which can be blamed if your window screen is showing a problem.

One reason can be that if the window screen is hit by something. For example, a kid playing outside throws his ball on the screen then it can accidentally crack or break at that exact moment.

Furthermore, if you do not keep your home inspected regularly then such little malfunctioning can escape from your sight and then show up in the times when you are not ready. So, it is better than you keep a check on everything in order to keep all the things fixed at the right time.

Another big and most common reason is that if you do not keep your window screens clean, dust and uncleanliness can affect the quality of materials to a point you cannot imagine. So, if you do not pay heed to such cleaning projects monthly or biannually then, of course, they will then themselves contact you by breaking or cracking themselves.

Hence, if you keep the window screens of your home inspected and neat and clean then you can catch any rising issue before it becomes a catastrophe. You know that it is better to get your window screen repair or replaced before that big sandstorm comes and break the screen down and you are left vulnerable and exposed in the storm.
