Benchmark iCONSe-Tis a complete solution to Internet of Things (IoT).It is a ready to use system that is flexible to evaluate as well providing real life solutions to connected objects - an IoT scenario. In engineering education, it extends the Sensors Network concept to IoT thereby giving a clear picture about the technology trend.

Internet of things(IOT) refers to everyday physical objects connecting to the internet globally and being able to identify themselfes to one another. Interconnection of the physical objects or devices is expected to faciliate human to human, human to device, and device to device connection. From the connected objects, it is possible to gather and analyze data, converting them into useful information which can then be diddeminated to various end users.

Various environmental parameteres like temperature, humidity, light and acceleartion due to gravity are gathered using iCONSe Nodes(Wireless sensor nodes) supplied with the traing system. These data can be further used to take ecisions such as controlling an actuator to turn On or OFF.

iCONSe Nodes are capable of working in the IPV6/6LoWPAN mode thereby giving the flexibility to work in an IoT scenario. iCONSe-T comes with iCONSe Gateway which is a management node harware platform that is compatible to setup Contiki OS.

Benchmark iCONSe-T is designed to teach the fundamentals of wireless sensor networks and connected devices(IOT) concepts. It extends the sensors networks concept to IoT concept, thereby giving a clear picture about the tchnology travel.Benchmark Electronic Systems specialises in the design and development of state-of-the-art training solutions for high-end engineering education. From fibre optic training kits and systems to LAN trainers, network and data security training systems, digital wireless communication training systems, e-learning solutions, industrial automation training solutions and image processing solutions for education and industry, Bechmark's systems bridge the gap between theory and practical application.

Incorporated in 1988, Benchmark Electronics was a pioneer in the field of fibre optic and communication systems and it soon became known, across the world, for its innovative series of fibre optic laboratory systems and communication trainer kits. Today, its equipment is in use in more than several thousand technical training institutions across Asia, Pacific, North America and Europe and more than two million engineers have worked on Benchmark equipment before moving on to design commercial communication networks.

Benchmark equipment focuses on training students to arrive at technical solutions from the concepts covered in the theory. Students start with basic concepts and are trained to do prototype development. This ensures that they are ready to work with and design commercial systems when they join industry. Our development and design is done in active collaboration with experienced professors at reputed institutions, so ensuring that equipment and training modules assist the faculty by complementing classroom teaching.

Benchmark Electronic Systems is, today, a leading force in its area of operations. What has made this possible is the Company’s sharply honed focus on:InnovationRelevance to faculty and industryQuality and value deliveryAll reasons why Benchmark Electronic Systems is, today, a leading designer and manufacturer of engineering laboratory systems and products with installations across South Asia, South East Asia, The Middle East, Australia, UK and North America.
