The Most Beautiful Car Ever Made Looks Like a Tongue

looks like

The Jaguar E-Type debuted in ’61 as a total wonder. Amongst other features, it had disc brakes, independent suspension, rack-and-pinion steering, and monocoque construction that made it lightweight and caused it to have a great performance, especially when you consider the fact that its price was not that expensive. Many automotive journalists agree that Enzo Ferrari outdid himself on the design of this one, especially since they post it regularly at the top of their best-looking cars.

Not to me though.

I have never agreed with anyone who called it the most beautiful car. The hood is a bit too long behind the wheels (about a foot too long in fact) and it has a front that droops and looks sad. The entire front of the car looks like it’s a tongue sticking out, always saying "bleh".

The bulging rear wheel arches doesn’t make it any better, with the fender dropping too low down the wheel. The roof of this car is long and sloping which creates a little balance for the hood, but the said roof is too tall and the windshield rake too high so that the side windows have a square and comically big look. There was an addition in ’66 to the 2+2 coupe: small back seats, lengthened and heightened passenger area that worsened the whole look.

When compared to other posh looking sport cars of the same era, like the Ferrari 250, it doesn’t look so good.

Granted, these car cost more, but there is no justification for why anyone in the late 60s would have a choice between an E-Type and a Corvette and choose the E-Type.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying it’s a bad looking car, or that anyone who thinks its beautiful is cuckoo in the head. We all have the right to think and believe what we want about beauty, but I think we must all agree that saying this car is the most beautiful car in the world is terribly wrong...

Especially when you think of how it looks like a floppy tongue.
