  1. Foreign manufacturers certification scheme

As the title suggests, this scheme is mandatory for overseas manufacturers and applicants who want to distribute goods and services in Indian markets.

A careful assessment is done for factory-produced goods to ensure that any hazardous or harmful implications do not pop up once the products are distributed and consumed in markets.

The entire registration / certification process comprises of two major steps :

First is the application to licensing, wherein the complete set of documents, product reports, and testing samples are verified for authenticity and durability.

Secondly, the periodic surveillance process which identifies any discrepancies in product assemblage after the internal reporting from government authority is cleared. This step is significant to ensure that there are no malpractices in production after the initial audit is complete.
