Astrological Transit

Definition

What is meant by transit in astrology? A person’s horoscope depends on the various planetary motions from time to time. These planetary movements may have certain effects on a person’s life during that particular phase. Astrological transit denotes the changes or movements in a person’s horoscope owing to these planetary transits. A person's horoscope progresses further due to astrological transits pertaining to his or her natal chart.

What are the transiting planets?

These are the inner planets (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, and Mars) and outer planets (Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto)

Inner planetary transitions and their effects

Some effects of inner planetary transitions are as follows:

  • Sun: Sun transition is at its maximum for at the most 2 days. The person whose natal chart depicts a Sun transition would experience some changes related to health, willpower and wealth.
  • Moon: Last for about 2 hours. It can result in mood swings of the person whose natal chart is affected.
  • Mercury: It is expected to last for about 2 days. It is a good time to travel on short journeys. It is considered to be a good time to connect with people.
  • Venus: Again, transiting Venus lasts for about 2 days when the effects are maximum. It indicates that the person whose natal chart aligns with transiting Venus can enjoy a good social life, and can attain good feelings in love.
  • Mars: The person whose natal chart is in line with Mars's alignment can be high on energy. At the same time, issues like tension and anxiety may be a bother.

Astrologers do not think that the transition of inner planets (which include the sun and moon) are important. These exist for a very short time.

Outer planetary transitions and their effects

Outer planetary transitions hold deep importance and meaning in astrology. Their effects are expected to last very long, like several years.

  • Jupiter: Transiting Jupiter lasts for some months. It provides new business opportunities for the person whose natal chart coincides with the same. It could be a good time to travel.
  • Saturn: There could be certain limitations in the life of the person. It could mean that there would be some trouble in paradise-example bad health, bad moods or possibly even death. However, this stage can be considered for any long-lasting planning.
  • Uranus: In this phase, sudden changes can be expected in life. New relationships can flourish during this time.
  • Neptune: Period of great creativity and inspiration for the concerned person.
  • Pluto: Transiting Pluto could signify the end of a chapter making way for another.

Planetary Return

When the planet is back to the same position as it was during the person’s birth, it is called a planetary return. It means that the planet completes an entire cycle and returned to its original position (this is for the concerned person). This is the most important aspect of astrological transit. It indicates that a new phase will begin in a person’s life.

Some important planetary returns are that of Jupiter and Saturn. These are the outer planets. The planetary return of Jupiter is 12 years. This means that the person will experience changes in terms of growth, physical and mental development. In the same way, the planetary return of Saturn is 30 years. This means the person will face new responsibilities and realities in life.

Uranus planetary return also occurs, for which the total period is 84 years. Some notable changes are seen when Uranus completes a half-return, which is 42 years. It is at this stage that many people feel their life is taking a drastic turn. People already seem tired of their life. It is difficult to predict whether a person can survive for 84 long years. If at all they are healthy and fit even at that stage, they can have a lively interest in life.

So, that was all about astrological transits. Let us all vouch for the best in every stage of life. https://www.talktoastro.com/talk-to-astrologer
