Swami Vishnudevananda disciple of Swami Sivananda was the very first Yoga Master, in late 60s who went on feeling the need of Yoga Teacher Training Courses, to prepare Yoga Teachers. Even at that time he was quite aware that in near future societies will be having unhealthy hectic lifestyles and a greater need for Yoga. So considering all of this he went on developing a curriculum of Yoga Teacher Training course and in 1969, taught the very first Sivananda Yoga Teacher Training in Canada. To a certain extent it was the continuation of the Yoga Training program offered by Yoga Vedanta Forest Academy of Sivananda Ashram in Rishikesh, India. Since then the Course has trained more than 50,000 certified Yoga Teachers to serve humanity as a whole.
