With the correct maintenance and proper handling, it can have a great life span. For proper maintenance, this article can be of great help to you. Follow the tips mentioned below to save yourself from the stress of replacement and repairs.
Tips for taking good care of projectors in India
1. Keep it Clean Always
The projector has air filters that allow the air in and maintains airflow. This airflow helps in preventing overheating and keeps the temperature low. That’s why it's important that you clean the filter by removing dust from blocking the filter and check them regularly.
2. Ensure Satisfactory Ventilation
When working, the projectors in India generate a lot of heat. The fan takes care of this heat. Continuous airflow is important as then the fan would be useless and the projector might get heat up. Ensure that when the projector is being used, there are no obstacles on the surface that block the entry or exit of the air.
3. Let it Cool
Once you're through using it, don’t just shut down it immediately. Let the fan run for a while so that it cools down the projector and protects it from heat damage.
4. Wait Before Packing
Even after you've let the fan bring down the temperature of your projector, don't pack it yet. The lamp is still hot which makes it prone to breakage. Allow adequate time for the lamp to cool off completely, or to a temperature at which it will not shatter when the projector is moved.
5. Avoid Frequent on and Offs
Frequently switching on and off your projector can cause it to wear at a much faster rate and reduce its lifespan. Only switch it on when you actually want to use it.
6. Don’t Put Your Hands On The Lamp
Putting your hands on the lamp or touching it can leave oily or sweaty marks on it. If the lamp heats up it hardens into a black spot which causes the light to be blocked. If the spot gets large, it can break the lamp. So, avoid touching the lamp as it can burn your hand.
7. Buy Quality Lamps
Cheap lamps are cost-effective and economical, but they aren't in the long run. You will be replacing them a lot, and this would cause you much more money. For a long life of lamps, but original and high-quality lamps that won't damage and cause any extra unnecessary expenses.
8. Read the manual of the Projector
There is a manual that comes with every projector that has all the tips on how to care for your appliance. How you can operate it and even directions on how to install it. If you use the wrong techniques, it can risk your projector and even shorten its lifespan. Therefore, it's advisable that you use the manual for the projectors in India for better functioning.
