Weighing by Electronic Weighbridges

Electronic Weighbridges are a boon for weighing heavy loads. It is a difficult, costly and time-consuming process to weigh heavy loads using normal balances and scales. Lifting of loads, placing them with proper stability and balance, taking readings is a tedious process. In many cases when the loads are too huge such as loaded trucks or wagons, weighing becomes all the more difficult. With a weighbridge mechanism, such type of weighing has become easier and convenient. Weighbridges are available in various types and models.
Double-ended shear-beam type loadcells specially designed for weighbridge applications enable the weighing of vertical as well as horizontal load components. Pit-type and pitless type. These options can be chosen as per the space availability. Pit type weighbridges can be flushed to ground level. No ramp is required for these and hence are suitable if there are space limitations.
Pitless weighbridge are surface mounted and hence are very economical. Their maintenance is easy as the platform is completely above ground level. They have to approach by low angle ramps.
The Pitless weighbridge terminals are designed to withstand all environmental conditions prevalent in the weigh-cabin. No air-conditioning is required. The SIC indicator is interfaced with a keyboard that is custom-built and user-friendly. The terminal is equipped to print a ticket without a PC. The entire set is handy and easy to install and operate.
Due to the use of digital load cells, lifting weights is possible completely with the help of machines and this saves a lot of labor costs.
