Learning, practicing and mastering - three activities that are necessary to be good at any skill. To understand how much of the learning has registered in the mind, undertaking an exam seems ideal. The results provide a fair analysis of how much has been retained by the mind and the areas that require more practice.

Why learn AutoCAD from an Autodesk-certified training institute?

Architects, interior designers or civil engineers kick-start their careers in construction design by understanding the basics of the software AutoCAD. They enroll for an AutoCAD training course from Autodesk-certified training centres, as the course is well structured there. These centres provide students an opportunity to undertake an Autodesk-certified professional exam. After passing this exam, students receive a certificate, which they can include on their résumé for recruiters who look for resources with an Autodesk certification.

There are many reasons why it is important to enrol with an Autodesk-certified training centre. However, the most believable reason is when a student shares his experience on why one must enroll with an Autodesk-certified training centre.

A student named Vishal (name changed) is studying architecture. He is currently in his second year and was introduced to AutoCAD in his first year of the architecture course. He wanted to explore AutoCAD further and understand in detail how the software works. Working on the software on his own was tedious, as he struggled with important tools and how they could be applied. After enrolling with an AutoCAD training centre, Vishal narrated the ease with which Autodesk-certified trainers explained the software content. Concepts in the software were explained step by step and in a structured format. After every practical session, ample time was provided to practice what was taught and exercise workbooks helped him imbibe complicated concepts in detail.

As Vishal was on the verge of completing the course, he underwent an Autodesk-certified professional examination for AutoCAD. On his first attempt, Vishal scored 620/1000. As the passing score of this exam is above 700, Vishal took the exam again. This time, he scored 950/1000. Vishal said that he was thankful for the opportunity to appear for the exam again, which is a chance that other AutoCAD training institutes do not typically offer.

There are several reasons why Vishal scored well during his second attempt. According to him, these were the reasons:

1. Usually, the majority of AutoCAD training courses in Mumbai lack a proper course structure. He attended an Autodesk-certified training institute, which has a systematic course structure, with specific modules that are covered in the course, with both theory and practical sessions.

  1. During each session, the time is divided equally between theory and practicals. As workbooks are provided with easy exercises, the concepts taught in the theory sessions are easily put into practice with the given exercises.
  2. The trainers go beyond the tools available in the software and explain how each tool can be utilised for different industry projects. This provides insight into how the software is applied in CAD/BIM firms.
  3. A student with basic knowledge of AutoCAD may struggle to create accurate floor plans and may apply tools, such as Blocks and Sheets, incorrectly. When the software is taught by an industry-experienced trainer, each tool is explained in detail with its application.
  4. Complex tools are explained by industry experienced trainers in a concise manner. This saves time and students enjoy the class.
  5. As Autodesk-certified training centres ask students to present a final project at the end of a course, this provides students an opportunity to apply their creativity and execute all that they studied.

The above points explain why AutoCAD courses for civil engineers, architects and interior designers must be undertaken in an Autodesk-certified training centre. Industry-experienced trainers, theory and practical sessions, workbook exercises and two attempts for an Autodesk-certified professional examination are perfect ingredients for a course that is worthy of enrollment.
