- Further to any surgery or removing of teeth or root canal therapy or filling/s or implants etc; you may experience mild sensitivity, swelling or mild discomfort in the initial phase for few hours to few days. After 3 hours of the operation; you may use lukewarm saltwater gargles/rinses. If you feel necessary, you may call the cosmetic dental clinicif any additional medicine is required.
- After any treatment in mouth; It is common to experience increase inflow of saliva which is good for healing. If there is dryness you should check your blood sugar or diabetic condition & inform the office of the same.

Avoid sticky food such as chewing gum, chikki or any unusually hard food that can damage or dislodge your fixed teeth. Pencils, ice, pins, fingernails etc. can easily damage or dislodge your fixed teeth.
- Your food pigments can discolour your natural teeth as well as the teeth fixed for you. Avoid or minimize foods that causes excessive discoloration like tea, coffee, red wine, berries, pan, gutka etc. Smoking and alcohol directly affect the colour of your teeth and also weaken the supporting tissues. Use this as an opportunity to give up the habit of smoking and alcohol intoxication.
- Most of the times even if you grind or clench your teeth you are not aware of the same as it can occur involuntarily during day and at night. The effects are very damaging. However, if you come to know of grinding or clenching at night or otherwise; inform the attending dentist immediately so that necessary steps to minimize the damages can be taken. Also inform the office if you need damage prevention appliances in particular if you are involved in sports.
- Many a times a gap may be present between your gums & new fixed teeth. Such gap is necessary for sanitation which helps keep your hums in healthy condition. Food easily gets cleaned from such gaps. You may use water pick to clean this area.
