It just keeps me nice and dry, and sometimes

It's so easy to want to pack the kitchen sink when you are moving overseas, but today I'm going to cover what you should pack when moving to the UK, forgetting their pots and pans behind. If you're new to my channel, I'm Kat from Kat's Gone Global, and I do videos about moving and living in the UK, travel, and London. Make sure that you hit the bell notification to get notified when new videos come out on topics about moving and living here.

I've also recently launched a 101 guide to moving to the UK. I'll leave the link in the description below. So there's a high chance that you're going to be wanting to find a a job while you're over in the UK, so I recommend bringing one interview outfit. So I work in the corporate world and my interview outfit generally is a nice jacket with a dress that I would wear. I have a few different colors. The same goes if you're a guy. You probably want to bring a nice white shirt with you and a suit. As I understand, suits are expensive, so probably cheaper to bring your favorite suit over then buy a new one.
The next thing that I would recommend bringing to the UK with you is an umbrella. It rains a lot here. When I say it rains, it's like drizzle, so there are definitely times that you'll need one of these. I hope I don't get any bad luck with opening the umbrella indoors. The other thing I would bring would be a rain jacket, so I just have one of these. It just keeps me nice and dry, and sometimes I find it a bit better than the umbrella. I can layer underneath so I can get nice and cozy and not have to worry about the rain.
Since we're on the subject of jackets already, I would bring over a winter coat. So this is my winter coat. It's not super fashionable, but it keeps me nice and warm. It can go to minus 10, I think, which the... Well, it depends on where you are in the UK, but for London weather, it can be a little warm sometimes, but it's perfect when I've gone to places like Scotland and it's kept me nice and warm, especially with some layers underneath. If you're from Australia or somewhere like that, you might not have a winter coat like this.
I bought mine over here just because it was a bit cheaper and it does take up a lot of space. But if you're from Canada or somewhere like that does get cold already, then chances are you probably have something like this that you can just pack in your suitcase to bring along with you.
