Posted: Mar 09, 2020
Many mechanics and those who know about cars to take advantage of the cheap price of fuel injector cleaner which is available at almost any auto parts store. A couple of times a year, it is a good idea to have a little maintenance or inspection done on your car to keep it running smoothly and you looking good for the showroom!
Buying this type of product is quite easy as the cost has come down dramatically since it was first invented. This is not always the case though and may take some shopping around before you find the right supplier. You will find that it is best to have a full-service check performed on your car before you buy a fuel injector cleaner as this will be the best way to make sure that you get the best deal.
The next step in cleaning your car is to add a few drops of fuel injector cleaner onto a rag and then apply it to the spark plug holes. Always work on the outside of the engine and never inside as there are more chances of ruining your engine.
Cleaning the spark plugs can help a lot with the overall performance of your car, so start by applying a small amount of oil to the spark plug holes. If you cannot find any, then use the lighter fluid to lightly coat the area. After that, wipe the spark plug holes with a rag to remove any dirt that may have built up over time.
Before continuing, it is a good idea to inspect the holes in your engine before you even begin cleaning them so that you will know exactly how much cleaning will need to be done. Make sure that they are all clean spark plug holes before continuing. You should also remember to refuel the car prior to cleaning the spark plug holes so that they are well lubricated.
Next, a little bit of engine oil should be added to the spark plug holes then the plugins cleaned using a clean cloth and some fuel injector cleaner. This helps the process along much better.
After you have cleaned the spark plug holes, you can move onto the carburetor. Again, it is advisable to have an inspection of your car before you do this as the carburetor is much harder to clean thoroughly if you are not aware of what you are doing.
Carburetor cleaning is not hard and you will find that it is very easy to do. Just remember to go slow and get all the parts ready before you continue to do so as the carburetor is much more complex to clean.
Step by Step to clean fuel injectors?First, get a fuel injector cleaner, which you can find in the online shops. Choose the one that fits your car best.
Second, figure out the position of your fuel injector because different engines have different layouts. If you have no clue, do a quick search in your instructor’s manual. If that still doesn’t work out, check it online.
Third, try to remove the fuel injector from the pump. Remember, keep the fire away.
Forth, connect the cleaning kit.
Fifth, start the engine to allow the cleaning agent to wind its way down in your injectors, but before that, make sure that the pump is shut down. The process should take you about 5 to 10 minutes.
Eventually, reassemble your fuel lines. All you have to do for the last is to reverse the first steps.
