The Central Board of Secondary Education is the choice of millions of parents for being trustworthy and vastly recognized boards in India. CBSE started off in 1962, years pass by and the board now has over seventeen thousand schools affiliated to it in India & abroad. IVIS is one of them and one of the top international schools in Turkayamjal. What makes CBSE board so special and why choose CBSE for your child? Let’s find out

Course structure & Curriculum

CBSE board has a higher success rate as its course structure enhances reasoning and analytical abilities in children rather than training them to memorize the facts. The CBSE curriculum is highly relevant for changing times as it caters to children of diverse language and ethnicities. The board’s syllabus is more practical and application-based. The board constantly evaluates the syllabi for the schools and modifies it to meet the world-class standards of the education system. The course structure is designed to take away the pressure of learning and make it a process of interactive and interesting sessions. This is the reason our international CBSE school organises fun activities in between the chapters to help students learn in a playful way. This makes the whole process of teaching efficient and healthy.

Performance at Examinations

The CBSE board conducts two examinations each year– All India Secondary School Examination, AISSE (Class X) and the All India Senior School Certificate Examination, AISSCE (Class XII). Since their syllabus incorporates the national curriculum, students have a higher rate of success in examination results. This is backed up by the National Achievement Survey of Class 10 where students were assessed in mathematics, science, social science, English and modern Indian language. The survey determined that students' best performance in mathematics (52.31%) and social science (53.29%). CBSE also contributes to>50% of the total students joining the IIT’s. Students exposed to CBSE curriculum have a greater edge in pursuing future studies from a centralized institution like an IIT or AIIMS since the preliminary exams for these institutions are organised by CBSE.

It’s International

CBSE aims to educate children in a way that breaks geographical barriers. It intends to introduce programs that enhance the necessary skills for a child to survive anywhere on the globe. For example, in 2010, the CBSE introduced CBSE-I, which is CBSE with a more international focus. The syllabus was designed to be more skills-based that caters to different learning styles. Under CBSE-I, Maths was divided into 2 segments-elective and core for class 9 & 10 students. It’s their choice to choose. Apart from subjects like English, languages and social sciences, they integrated communication, analytical and social skills. CBSE Board is always innovating and changing its approach for betterment. The board also introduced a financial marketing management course in association with the National Stock Exchange, as part of its National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF) and the School Bank Champs project, where students are taught to open bank accounts and understand finance on a day-to-day basis.

Physical & mental growth

CBSE board apart from imparting quality knowledge to students also ensures the overall development. The curriculum encourages students to pursue extracurricular talents such as sports. The board also focuses to teach students good humanist values and ensure every student’s physical and mental growth. World’s most top universities provide numerous scholarships to students who have a background in sports, debates, painting or any extra-curricular activity. IVIS being international schools in Hyderabad follows CBSE board and has art & craft department, music & dance department, various school clubs, sports department with facilities like skating rink, swimming pool, basketball court, etc.

Transferability

One major advantage for families who keep relocating due to work commitments can find a CBSE school in almost every city of India.

Parents also often feel that they are able to find tuitions easily for CBSE syllabus as most of the tutors are or were working in CBSE Schools and are aware of CBSE Syllabus.
