IELTS is a worldwide popular exam that assesses the English efficiency test of non-English speakers who want to work or study in an English speaking country. The test is organized several times a year across the world. Your attractive band score increases the visa approval chance for more than 50%. The taste evaluates English speaking, writing, listening, and reading efficiency. The writing part is a little stressful because it assesses one’s skills for writing correct English and the flow of writing. Grammatical mistakes are intolerable here.

Format of the Test

The test format includes two tasks. Candidates have 60 minutes to complete them.

Task one is to provide at least 150 words on some visual information that could be charts, diagrams, or graphs.

Task Two is like comparison type questions where candidates have to provide relevant info. The answer should be relevant instead of general such as online sales vs. local stores.

Like the other three components (reading, writing, and speaking), it is necessary to get a good band score for the test.

Understanding the Requirements of The Test

When you attempt the test of IELTS, it is essential to understand how your answers are assessed by examiners. There are four criteria according to which you get a band score including task achievement, coherent and cohesion, vocabulary, and grammatical accuracy. For each one, the band score is 25% respectively.

Keep Practicing More

The more you practice, the better you can perform. Secure an hour or two from your busy schedule for writing. Search those topics that are most probable during the exam. You can get hundreds of online sources telling about hot topics for IELTS. First, read the topic carefully. Clear your doubts for words through the dictionary and then write it down. Remember, you don’t need to remember the topic. Try to understand the topic to write in your own words. Use vocabulary and make the sentence frame correct. Make sure sentences are relevant. One sentence should be related to another.

Make Your Vocabulary Power Stronger

You can never perform well in the writing section of the exam until your vocabulary is stronger. Make an everyday routine to remember at least five new words. Use them in your everyday talking and writing tasks. If you remember five new words every day, there will be one hundred fifteen new words in a month and more than twelve thousand words in a year. It will be an awesome collection of words that help you to write and speak well. It has dwell benefits.

Practice Grammar

No matter how much confidence you feel for your writing, it is always good to practice more and more. Give at least 15 minutes or half an hour to practice grammar. Choose the topic in which you are lacking. For example, take phrasal verbs to practice. In any English speaking country, phrasal verbs are common because they make sentences short and crispy. Practice grammar exercises every day today. Brush up your English. Look for the best IELTS institute in Amritsar or your area.
