We are happy and assure you that there is a solution to this problem, Madico® one-way solar reflective series window film. Find out how you can use this type of window film to increase your privacy at-home.
How does One Way Window Film work?
One way window film is a reflective mirrored privacy window film that offers a high level of daytime privacy. The reflective mirrored appearance of the one way reflective solar window film gives the glass a one way mirror effect from the outer side when there is more light on one side than the other. This means that, during the day, people on the outside of the window cannot see in through the glass, while you can still see clearly through it from the inside. The outer side of the glass becomes reflective in the light and reflects like a mirror, barring visibility completely.
One way window film can be applied to any windows of rooms that you want more daytime privacy. Applying reflective privacy window film to ground floor windows, allows you to open up the curtains during the day and allow the natural light come in, with the comfort of knowing that people outside still cannot see into your home. How much natural light comes inside the home depends on the darkness of the tint selected.
One Way Mirror Window Film Technology.
One way window privacy film is manufactured by joining ultra thin layer of pp film with reflective metal oxide between and adhesive bottom layer and a protective top layer for scratch resistance and UV protection. The one way mirror effect created by these types of privacy films occurs when sunlight reflects off of the windows they are applied to. The darker and more reflective the films are, and the more outside light there is, the stronger the one way mirror effect is. Everything how depends on the the clients taste, how dark they require the tint and level of privacy.
Invariably one way mirror films do not provide nighttime privacy when it is darker outside than inside. The one way mirror effect essentially gets reversed when the light outside disappears and lights get turned on inside. There are night time neutral shades available with MADIOC® to defuse the reflectivness of the film from inside during night (Optivision® – Night Neutral series).
What are your options for Nighttime Privacy?
Since one way mirror window film only provides privacy during daytime, you will have to engage alternate solutions to achieve night time. If you want to utilize one way vision window film for daytime privacy, the easiest way to keep people from seeing into your home at night is to close curtains.
24-hour privacy can be achieved for your windows, for which you can install a translucent one way frosted glass film or decorative preprinted decorative film. This will allow light to pass through but won’t allow a detailed view through the glass, these films will add to the decor of your room as they are available in a whole rage designs and patterns. One more way for achieving highest level round-the-clock privacy, you can consider totally opaque window film, which blocks out all light and visibility. Also known as black out or white out films.
How is this Window Film Installed?
Majority of the time like all other types of retrofit window films, privacy window films are also installed on the interior surface of the glass. This internal application ensures easy application and the longer possible lifespan for the product. Even though there are window films which can be applied to the exterior surface of the glass window, exposure to harsh weather shortens the length of time that they function at peak performance. Installation is a simple process you can follow the DIY method or employ a professional installer as it requires lots of expertise and experience.
