Are you straight out of college and looking for a job and probably and probably you have an interview lined up? Well you are at the right place to know about some tips that would ace your job interview.

Now you have finished your education and heading towards a new phase of life, so you really don’t want to goof up. So, freshers, here are some tips that will help you to answer the most common questions including HR and technical interview questions.

Let's start with HR interview tips.

Q1: Tell me about Yourself

This is the most common HR interview question that is asked, and remember the person who is asking you this question is not someone you at met at a tea shop. So, things, like I love being on Instagram, are not the right things to mention. Well the important thing to mention is your educational background, then your family background but don’t get in too much detail or talking about personality traits you possess, and the hobbies you like to pursue in your free time.

Q2: Why should we hire you?

The second most common HR interview question asked is why the company should hire you. The question is asked to know your seriousness towards this job or you are just here because you are jobless or you are just here to buy an expensive car. Here you need to mention your skills that will be in the best interest of your contribution towards the success of any organization, like communication, leadership, or any other technical skills.

Q3: What are your strengths?

This is again a very commonly asked question in an HR interview. The interviewer here is actually trying to find out the strengths relevant to the job. Here you cannot keep offering the same set of strengths at every interview, it has to keep changing with the roles you are to perform in the organization. First understand the job requirements you are going for an interview and then list your strengths and back it up with some examples. For example, talking about your communication qualities while presenting a paper in your college or like you always used to submit your assignments way before the deadline dates.

Now comes the Technical interview tips

  1. Revise Basics and Avoid Excuses: You should revise the basics requiring getting a job and always avoid excuses. Now, what do you do if you have no clue what was asked? It is ok to say" I don’t know the answer" rather than giving the wrong one.
  2. Prepare on a Favorite Topic: You may also be asked about your favorite topic. An interviewer will expect you to guide him about the topic. Obviously, you will be inviting trouble if you choose a topic, you are not good at. Either be up to date regarding your favorite topic or choose an easier one.
  3. Know Your projects and Internships: Make sure you are prepared enough to give convincing answers to at least the most likely questions.

So, following the above tricks can help you to crack any interview and thus, can get to join in your dream company.
