The premiere of the 1260 S Grand Tour: excellence you pay for

Just because you're 'roughing it' in the great outdoors and opted for moto-camping over hotels on your road trip doesn't mean you won't appreciate having the finest, most sophisticated ride available. And that ride is the Ducati Multistrada 1260 S Grand Tour.

Equipped with a 1,262 cc, 158 horsepower, L-Twin cylinder, dual spark variable timing engine that puts out 95-foot pounds of torque, you have plenty of power to load up all your lightweight motorcycle camping gear. All this and a top speed of an eye-popping 150 miles per hour, nobody can claim that the Ducati Multistrada 1260 S Grand Tour lacks anything. And with a $23,295 base price it shouldn't.

But don't let that price tag scare you away, the brand-new Grand Touring model of the Multistrada 1260 S Grand Tour is worth every penny. And you don't need a ton of packages to get all the bells and whistles.

It comes standard with a Skyhook Suspension Evo system (DSS), a hands-free Ducati media system, cruise control, and even heated handgrips. Getting a base model Grand Tour has more premium features than many of its competitors' fully loaded packages.

And Ducati made sure that the Grand Tour felt like the up-scale bike it is. With a 5" color TFT display, backlit handlebar controls, and even a hands-free fuel tank cap, Ducati took a deep look into even the smallest details on their biggest bike.

Furthermore, with recessed LED headlights Ducati wanted the Multistrada 1260 S Grand Tour to have a distinct angry appearance. They hit the nail on the head, creating a bike that looks like the high-performance bike it is.

Moreover, with a bike that puts out this much power you want top-tier brakes and built-in safety features for sure. Ducati didn't leave this out either.

Both the front and rear brakes are equipped with cornering ABS for added safety and control when you need to brake hard. And with Dual 330 mm disc brakes on the front and 265 mm disc brakes on the rear, you can rest assured that you'll be able to stop as fast as you need to even when loaded with gear or a passenger.

Among other standard features on the Ducati Multistrada 1260 S Grand Tour is Ducati Traction Control (DTC), Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC), and Ducati Cornering Lights (DCL). When it comes to your safety and visibility Ducati didn't cut any corners.

One of our favorite features of this model is the 5.3-gallon tank, which when fitted to a bike that averages 45.2 miles per gallon, ensures that you won't need to cut any corners to get to your motorcycle camping destination on a single tank. With an impressive 240-mile range you can reach the most remote places, or hit the open road for hours before you need to fill up. All while packing tons of motorcycle camping gear.

No doubt it's a touring bike through and through. Able to be equipped with a 26-liter (6.8 gallons) and 30-liter (7.9 gallons) side cases which are combined with the 5-liter (1.3 gallons) tank pocket bag, it's perfect for taking on long distance moto-camping road trips. And when you're not loaded down with all your camping supplies you can bring a friend along for a ride because the Ducati Multistrada 1260 S Grand Tour has seating for two.

If you have the budget and are looking for a touring bike that has it all, don't look anywhere else. The 1260 S Grand Tour has everything you're looking for and more. Speed, power, style, and convenience. You get what you pay for, and Ducati made the best.
