Aloe Vera is a miracle plant. I always keep Aloe Vera gel handy with me. It is my all-time favourite moisturiser. Aloe Vera is very rich in vitamins, proteins, and minerals. It contains antioxidants, enzymes, Vitamins A and C, and it is highly anti-inflammatory.

I’m going to tell you my top 6 uses of Aloe Vera for our skin and hair.

1. Use it as a moisturiser and Primer:

Aloe Vera is known to be a natural moisturiser. It hydrates your skin like magic. It’s great for every skin type even for acne prone skin. It is non greasy and doesn’t clog pores.

Aloe Vera has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. It minimises pores and reduces small wrinkles to create a perfect skin for makeup application.

Usage:

  • You can apply it any time to moisturise your skin.
  • For better result apply a thick coat of Aloe Vera gel before going to bed.
  • Apply some Aloe Vera gel before your makeup to create a perfect skin for makeup application.

2. Aloe Vera Soothes sunburn

Aloe Vera is a medicinal plant that has been used for years to treat skin problems, such as wounds and burns. Aloe Vera is best for soothing burns.

Usage:

To treat sunburn, apply a layer of pure aloe Vera gel extracted from aloe Vera leaf. (Keep the leaf in your refrigerator before using it)

3. Use it as a pore minimise:

The biggest concern of our skins are open or Enlarged pores. Open pores can cause acne, pimples, whiteheads and blackheads. Aloe Vera gel helps you to minimise open pores.

Usage:

  • Take an ice tray, fill it with Aloe Vera gel.
  • Add two or three drops of tea tree oil (It’s optional). Freeze it.
  • Gently rub it on your face to close your pores.

4. Blessing for acne prone skin:

Aloe Vera has certain properties that may make it effective in fighting acne. Aloe Vera has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. It also helps to reduce the scars caused by acne or pimples.

Usage:

You can apply pure Aloe Vera gel directly on your acne and leave it overnight.

5. Aloe Vera for Hair:

Use it as a Hair Mask:

Aloe Vera plant contains a gel like substance in it which contains something called proteolytic enzymes which repairs dead skin cells on the scalp. It promotes hair growth, prevents itching, reduces dandruff and conditions your hair.

Usage:

  • Take 2 tablespoons of Aloe Vera gel with any choice of your favourite hair oil.
  • Mix it well to make a mask.
  • Apply it on your scalp and hair, leave it for 45 minutes then wash it off.

Use it as a hair serum:

Aloe Vera gel adds natural shine to your hair and helps lock in moisture. Try using this gel instead of your expensive serums, you won’t regret it.

Usage:

Apply this gel on your hair just like you apply hair serum.

I love using patanjali Aloe Vera gel for hair.

You can buy Aloe Vera gel from market or I will suggest you to grow your own plant at your home. It’s so beneficial for our skin and hair. You won’t regret it.
