2. Get an overview of company logos

4. Stay simple and functional

The logo must not get lost in small subtleties but must be able to be used in a variety of ways because it must have the same effect on a business card as on a football team's jersey. To be able to design a good logo of your own, it is advantageous to familiarize yourself with the use of graphics programs. It is also very important to remember that the logo also works in black and white.

5. Illustrate the main advantage of the company with its own logo

The best logos convey a direct impression as a picture or graphic, less through the words. The logo conveys the advantage of the brand "super-fast printing service". A flash could be used to visually convey speed and accuracy.

6. Do not use clip arts for logo design

As tempting as it may be, always avoid clip art. Not only do they look cheap, but they can also be copied very easily. So the logo would lose its uniqueness.

7. Don't follow trends blindly

If you want to redesign an old logo, you should avoid snapping up any current trend and incorporating it. You may only confuse existing customers if you become totally unfaithful to the old style. It is better to plan a logo that you can be loyal to for ten to twenty years - that would also be the main criterion for a good logo design. If you want to adapt a logo, you do it in a discreet way and so that the original message of the logo remains.

8. Pay attention to the color choice

One thing that is often neglected is the effect of color choice on later costs. Designing a logo in five colors may look a lot nicer than one with three colors, but these five colors have to be paid for each time you print. You should reduce the entire rainbow to a maximum of three colors and ask yourself whether all colors are really necessary and what effect certain colors of the design should achieve.
