Aging and weight gain are the common reasons why fat deposits settle in different areas of the body. Upper arm fat is a common aesthetic concern among both men and women. Flabby arms most often do not respond to even rigorous diet and exercise. An arm lift is the perfect solution for men and women looking to get rid of that stubborn fat and achieve trimmer, toned arms. This cosmetic surgical procedure reshapes and improves the contour of the upper arms, from the underarm region to the elbow.

Leading AAAASF-accredited plastic surgery practices in NYC use the FDA-approved BodyTite liposuction device to perform various scarless body contouring procedures. This innovative procedure provides excellent results and involves no unsightly scars, or long downtime. When compared to traditional liposuction, which requires a long incision to extract the unwanted fat, minimally-invasive BodyTite™ on arms (ArmTite) melts the stubborn fat pockets and reshapes the arms without surgery. This patented RAFL (radiofrequency - assisted lipolysis) platform removes the stubborn fat and coagulates the blood vessels. It leaves no scars and is recognized for its unique ability to tighten the skin up to 40 percent. The procedure encourages the production of new collagen, thereby improving the skin’s texture. The benefits of BodyTite Arm liposuction include –

  • Significant skin tightening
  • Short downtime
  • Re-contouring effects are immediately visible
  • Quick recovery
  • Performed under local tumescent anesthesia
  • Performed as an outpatient procedure
  • Minimal pain, swelling, bruising and bleeding
  • Arm lift without scars

What the Procedure Involves

Arm lift BodyTite in New York City uses bipolar radiofrequency technology for superior skin tightening effects. The device features two parallel probes, one that passes below the skin and the other that passes directly above the skin. The radiofrequency energy passes between the two probes, melting fat on the inside while simultaneously causing skin to tighten and giving it a perfect shape.

The surgical procedure starts with the plastic surgeon administering local anesthesia to the treatment area. The surgeon will further mark the area in the arm to be treated. A tiny incision is made to insert the small cannula in the targeted site. RF energy delivered via the cannula gently liquefies the unwanted fat cells, allowing them to be gently suctioned out.

This liposuction procedure can be performed on an outpatient basis and takes approximately 30-45 minutes. This would again vary and depend on the specific area treated and other associated individual considerations. The procedure simultaneously tightens the skin and coagulates the tissues, which helps the surgeon sculpt the arms to the ideal shape.

Ideal Candidates for the BodyTite Arm lift

The BodyTite arm lift is a suitable option for patients who –

  • Are above 18 years of age
  • Have loose, crepe-like skin in the inner arm area (near the arm pit)
  • Have good skin elasticity
  • Are close to their ideal body weight
  • Are in good health, without any underlying medical conditions
  • Are non-smokers
  • Have realistic expectations about the outcome

As surgical trauma and downtime are minimal, most patients return to normal activities within 48 hours. However, the recovery time and results will vary based on the area treated and the amount of fat removed. Best results generally appear after 6-12 weeks.

Patients planning to undergo BodyTite™ Liposuction Surgery need to select an established and AAAASF-accredited plastic surgery practice in NYC. Established surgery practices offer the services of plastic surgeons with considerable experience in performing this radiofrequency-assisted liposuction procedure. This can provide attractive results and end-to-end care and support, right from initial consultation till full recovery.
