2020 is almost over and 2021 is about to take over and as we begin rewinding what happened in last six months, the next six months we prepare to envision a launchpad for new age web platform as the technology under our disposal is getting more and more diverse. That being said, Website technology and artistic taste complement each other in this journey and pressing out vibey, interactive visuals with thousands of codes running behind and in the meanwhile compressing it to compel the website load a tad bit faster, web development isn't in 2005 anymore. If anything, it sets its own trends like I have mine when I write.

Your author today is the Junior Web Developer from Fibroin (www.fibroin.in), the most dynamic web development company in Coimbatore, India. For us, Website design has been a crucial measure of success and running a plethora of combinations aged with a ton creativity has been a key of delivery some of the most successful client websites. Not to be controversial, but a lot of businesses, that lack the understanding of how a website impacts their business, need to play catch up to these trends. Whether you're an e-commerce website or a normal dynamic website displaying 'accolades' of your businesses or personal achievements, not enhancing your website in accordance to technological advancements can leave you into the dust.

So here are some of our personal trends that we would like you to follow in 2021 for a better and successful website:

  1. Dark Mode: For the uninitiated, Dark Mode is like coffee or tea. It's an inseparable part of your life and regardless how much you try it, you can't fend off from it. Dark Mode is essential as not all devices have an intelligent brightness adjustment scheme. Different devices from the same manufacturer come in different software settings, thus dark mode ensures legible readability. What dark mode does is simple! Your website has black back ground or in other terms gets darker, so you can view the content in a much better, less eye hurting manner. Especially if you're in desktop all day like me.
  2. Unhinging yet Immersive 3D elements: A little bit of word play but with AR and VR immersing their tentacles into the mainstream and their adaptation into websites across the world, one is made to think, what the hell am I even seeing. Websites have become battlegrounds for creativity and that what sets them apart and creates marketability of the company. Just in case you thought, we were done, nope, it's not done yet. If you go through awwwards, it lists out some of the most creative designs you're ought to see. So why not pick up the pen and design something crazy and spread the word out there.
  3. Photography and Graphics will complement each other: Not a lot of people take this risk and I feel a company like Vox is doing a great job at it on their videos. Mixing photography and funky graphics brings out that Discotek feeling which some people really crave for. That discotek feeling is something that is aesthetically pleasing and can award you with a generous viewership and retention of audience over a period of time. So just go funky!
  4. Changing the perception of product photos: When I go up on Amazon or Flipkart, I don't want to see those generic White background photos anymore. If it's a gardening site, I want to see the rake in action, in the forefront with some grass and mud to please my eyes. White backgrounds are no longer a trend. Ton of these boutique, semi-premium, premium e-commerce stores seem to get one thing right. They just eliminate that background of isolation from their product. So if you're planning to shoot some product photographs, better get some amazing background out there.
  5. And Finally some unrealistic and future funk color combination: If you ever get a chance, have a look at the album art of Oliver Heldens. He really digs deep into that funky color combination, which a lot of people think is uncalled for but that's what the beauty about it is. When you really think about it, these gaudy colors really attract your attention. To add that extra essence of perfection to it, why not try this trend out and you might see some bombaclat in your traffic.
