I Introduction: Important Exams other than JEE
Entrance Examination is one the important mode for getting admission into the best university for various undergraduate, postgraduate and professional degree courses. Generally, the entrance examination is the process of a higher level of education which is conducted by educational institutes and best colleges. After clearing the entrance examination student can get admission to his selected course to earn a specialized degree.
Range and Scope of Entrance examination
Choosing a course for any ug or pg degree is very simple but getting into it one should clear entrance exam with specific criteria. Based on that entrance examination qualified candidates are selected and based on their ranking and score they have assigned Colleges and institutes provide admission into courses such as Post diploma, Diploma, undergraduate, Post Graduate, research and various fellowship programs.
Types of Entrance Exams
There are many types of entrance exams are available other than JEE from which some important exams are the following:

BITSAT (Birla Institute of Technology & Science Admission Test)
BITSAT is the entrance exams conducted every year for admission into specialized degree programs offered by the Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences. It offers courses in engineering and Pharmacy for undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. Candidates who have qualified in the entrance exam get admissions at any of the three campuses of BITS such as Pilani, Goa, and Hyderabad. The entrance exam takes three hours and comprises of 150 multiple choice questions(MCQ's) divided into four sections.
The Eligibility Criteria for BITSAT entrance exam is the following:
To appear in the exam, the candidate has to passed 12th from a reputed institute or high school with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics(PCM) as compulsory subjects and scored minimum 75% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with any state or central Board exams. MHT CET (Maharashtra Common Entrance Test)
MHT CET implies for Maharashtra Common Entrance Test to get admission in extremely prestigious institutes like Pune Institute of Computer Technology (PICT), and College of Engineering, Pune. The MHT CET consists of 3 papers, which include Multiple Choice based questions. From which Paper 1 is for Mathematics while Paper-2 is for Physics and Chemistry. After that, Paper-3 is for Zoology and Botany. Students have to solve all the questions in 90 minutes.
The Eligibility Criteria for MHT CET Exam is the following:
The candidate should be from an Indian region. The candidate must have passed with a 10+2 exam or Higher Secondary examination with subjects namely, Physics, Chemistry, English and Mathematics/ Biotechnology. Minimum 50% aggregate marks (45% aggregate marks for reserved category candidates like SC/ST and OBC) must be obtained.
SRMJEEE (SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Examination)
SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Examination is conducted by SRM Institute of Science and Technology to get admission into B.Tech programs offered by this institute. Apart from the main academic criteria for selection, the institute also offers admission and scholarships to the top-most students of all Central and State boards in India, and also to top 1000 ranking students of IIT JEE.
The Eligibility Criteria is as follows:
Candidates who want to appear for the exam should have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics(PCM) from any state board namely, CBSE, ISCE, Matriculation, or NIOS. Candidates pursuing 10+2 in the academic year can also apply for the SRMJEEE exam.
MET (Manipal Entrance Test)
Manipal Entrance Test– MET offers a wide variety of courses to explore their creativity to expandable knowledge. This institute offers 16 engineering streams including Computer Science, Mechatronics, and Aeronautical.
The Eligibility Criteria for MET is the following:
The candidate should have completed 10+2 / with Physics, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects and Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or any technical subject as optional. The candidate should have aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Mathematics, and one of the optional subjects taken together. LPUNEST (Lovely Professional University National Level Entrance exam and Scholarship Test)
Lovely Professional University conducts the National Level Entrance exam and Scholarship Test (LPUNEST ) for B.Tech students. Since 2008, more than 40,000 students are appearing for LPUNEST exam. The phase 1 for this process has ended. However, the registration for phase 2 is open now and the interested candidates can apply for it till March 31, 2020.

The candidate must have passed a minimum of 75% marks at Higher & Senior Secondary level (10th& 12th) with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry Background.
VITEEE (Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Exam)
Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) conducts VITEEE to provide admissions in various B.Tech programs offered within the campus. It has been awarded a status of Institute of Eminence by the government of India for the best university and good academic curriculum till now. The registration process for the VITEEE entrance exam in 2020 for different colleges has already started and the last date to apply is February 29, 2020.

The candidate must have passed a minimum of 65% marks at Higher & Senior Secondary level (10th& 12th) with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry Background.
