How to Edit Language Section in the CV

It is already known to all that the Curriculum Vitae (CV) or Resume, in all its forms, is of utmost importance for the job search. It is our main business or presentation card, so making mistakes in this first step into the world of work can be an obstacle that hinders our professional objectives. The Position of Language Section
The first thing we should know is where the language section is positioned. Taking into account the great importance that these competitions are given today, they deserve to give them a specific place that is well identifiable. We can put it after academic training, for example, by preceding it with a simple title that indicates: "Languages". In this line, the same would happen with "Computer Knowledge".
Start With the Language in Which We Have the Most Command
We can start with the language in which we have the most command, since it will be a good way to arouse the evaluator's interest. Along with the language we must indicate the level we have. On this there are several ways, we can indicate separate levels depending on whether it is Oral or Written, indicate a General Level or make use of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) self-assessment grids. You must choose one form or another depending on the offer and / or place where you will send the document and the interest that will be given to your language skills in it.
It is essential that we can indicate together with the level an Official Certificate that accredits it. It is the most exact, effective and clear way that an employer will have to estimate what our capacity is and it is, in many cases, what will allow our CV to continue or not in a selective process. So if you don't have it, try to accredit yourself!
Regarding those languages??in which we do not have accreditation but still have competences, all that remains is to indicate it and to be able to detail, as far as possible, some information that can demonstrate such knowledge (stays abroad, courses taken, etc....).
Including Specialized Language Courses for Specific Sectors
There are many candidates who have specialized language courses for specific sectors (Business, Tourism, Finance). Do not forget to include it in this section, also indicating the center where you taught it and the number of hours it consisted of.
Regarding stays abroad, it is interesting to include here our Erasmus experiences, since having received classes in other languages??as well as having studied in foreign centers is a very good indicator of our potential. It also indicates other stays such as: study exchanges, internships in international companies or residence for language studies or others.
Demonstrate Your Language Level
Finally, if you carry out any other activity that may be interesting to demonstrate your language level, do not hesitate to detail it: collaboration with an intercultural association, organization of events with a foreign population, participation in intercultural university activities...
