Summer isn't over just yet. There's still time to soak up the sunshine and enjoy all of the delicious food that the season has to offer — including these fantastic lobster dishes.

Lobster Summer Salad

If you're looking for something that's wholesome and healthy, then you should toss up a mouth-watering salad with lobster meat on top. Lobster meat is a guaranteed way of adding great taste and nutrition into any meal because it's full of B vitamins, magnesium, choline and more. It's a lean protein that's rich in omega 3 fatty acids, which is excellent for fighting inflammation and lowering your risk in heart disease.

For a lighter salad, toss a mixture of greens together in a bowl. You can use a combination of arugula, watercress, chopped romaine or spinach. Peel and segment a red grapefruit. Peel, pit and then thinly slice up a ripe avocado. Add the ingredients, along with cooked and chopped lobster meat. Dress with lemon juice, extra virgin olive oil, kosher salt and black pepper. Lightly toss and then serve.

For a heartier meal, make yourself a lobster cobb salad

  • essentially replace the staple ingredient of chicken with large chunks of lobster meat.

A Classic Lobster Roll

On the hottest days of the summer, nothing will hit the spot like a classic Maine lobster roll. If you're far, far away from New England, you don't have to feel disappointed. You can order fresh lobster online and have it shipped to your doorstep. So, you can make yourself the beach-side favourite in no time, as long as you have the following ingredients:

  • Top split rolls
  • Salted butter
  • Mayonnaise
  • Lemon
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Take your cooked lobster meat and put it in a bowl. Add in a dollop of mayo and stir until every inch is coated. Put the bowl in the fridge to cool. Then, take out your top split roll, butter it and toast it in a frying pan. Pull out the chilled lobster meat, add a squeeze of lemon, then the salt and pepper. For some extra crunch, you can add a crumbled cracker topping over the meat. Then, dig in. If you really want to make things easier on yourself, you can just order a package of all of the dish's ingredients at once.

Or, you can make a Connecticut lobster roll if you prefer your lobster meat hot. The style uses a drizzle of melted butter instead of mayonnaise for the dressing.

Lobster Tacos

Make your "Taco Tuesday" a little more exciting by replacing your ground beef or chicken with lobster. Bake the lobster tails in the oven and let cool. Remove the meat from the shell and then chop into bite-sized pieces. Add a spoonful of melted butter, salt, pepper and lime zest over the meat. Then, it'll be ready to place onto a warm flour or corn tortilla and cover in all of your favourite fixings. One of the best things to add on top is a dollop of fresh guacamole with chopped cilantro or spicy tomato salsa.

Make the rest of your summer count. Spend more time lounging in your backyard, bonding with your family and eating amazing food.
