It is the first motivational speaker that Krishna gives to Arjun.
In the first chapter of Bhagavad Gita, Arjun says that I am not able to participate in the battle of Kurukshetra. Even if I won the battle I lost, if I lose the battle I lost so why should I fight if I beat war.
Arjun gets nervous with full of tears in eyes, put the bow down, Arjun was very nervous, he was so tense and refuse to take any decision for battle.
In the current life, everyone has a type of battle. Doctors have their own battle, a lawyer has their own battle, students have own battle, every profession and everyone has a battle.
You and I have also battle for your own life.
If we are indecisive and if we haven’t owned the goal is really very disappointing.
The starting of work is not known to do work, to make a plan of work is not known to do work, to do work is also not known to do work, the continuation of work is also not known to work, so what is work doing.
To finish the work is called working. To complete your own task is the main work.
Lazy people accept laziness as their luck.
The Bhagavad Gita’s indications of Lazy people in a daily life
- When the desire increases at a higher level it takes the form of the element of dullness, darkness, ignorance (tamogun) that is called fascination or love (moh).
- Due to the reason for this fascination people like to sleep more and more. The one who sleeps more has not deep sleep. Due to having not a deep sleep, then men come under lethargy and see more dreams.
- The inertia or dulled people are more and more time gets waste in lethargy and dreams. The lethargically sick people have more feelings of enjoyment in the stage of inertia and dullness.
So it has been famous as happiness comes from sleep.
- When dullness and darkness (tamogun) get more increase then livelihood (vrittiya) of people gets heavier. Then the men waste the whole time in laziness.
- If any important work comes to do, the procrastinate works and says it will be done afterward, right now I am sleeping.
In this way, people get more relax and comfortable in the stage of laziness.
- Due to staying every time in laziness his senses and conscience go on in laxity that is the reason for not doing any work properly.
- In contemplation, the mind keeps on thinking about the world and the mind always keeps on thinking about the restless situations, worry, upset, sadness, mourn, and sorrow.
The mind remains indulges in only mindless things.
- When the situation of darkness and dullness increases at a very higher level, the people start doing culpa (pramaad).
