India spells diversity be it geography, wildlife, demographic, culture and belief. It is difficult to highlight homogeneity in the country on any aspect. Though there are common features, diversity far outshines it. No wonder the country has been labeled as incredible. Accolades and write ups fall short of apt description and the intrigue lingers on one visit after another.

The spectacular wilderness is a major revenue generator followed by culture. Tourism is a growing sector dominated by tiger tourism and cultural visits. A large number of overseas tourists are major source of invaluable foreign exchange while the locals boost destinations, hill resorts, spiritual and urban centers. India invites thanks to robust wildlife, culture and religious significance in terms of belief and monuments.

With ancient history centered on imperial reigns, internecine wars, monumental edifices and spirituality the country offers immense sightseeing and experiences. Further the tourists are drawn over like magnet intrigued by the esoteric rites, rituals and religious practices. The itinerary for sightseeing is the pathway for cultural experiences as it is intertwined with collective history of India.

The major urban centers that attract tourists culturally and spiritually are Delhi, Agra, Varanai in Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Gujarat, Khajuraho and Orccha in Madhya Pradesh and beaches and backwaters of Kerala. These are the places most highlighted internationally by travelers and media. Though this is just a small window to a mega offering…some of the lesser visited destination are slowly opening up as awareness dawns globally.

Sightseeing is a precursor for cultural familiarity and interest in its intriguing aspects fashioned by complex beliefs, customs, rites and rituals never fail to attract. India exists in layers of centuries historically. But it exhibits multiple technical spheres and layered social strata which is at times difficult to define demographically.

Tourists especially overseas are welcomed in the urban centers and the hinterlands as well. The warmth and inviting nature enables tourists to intermix and thus experience the varied cultures and diverse ethnicity that prevail all over.

Being the birth place of Vedas, Yoga, of Buddha, five thousand plus years old Hinduism which dominates, and unhindered birth of several beliefs and cults all open up the spiritual sector as well. India is an unfathomable microcosm of life and it yet survives in harmony which astounds. Best means to experience all this is on culture tour packages organized by regional tour operators situated in major towns.

This description may sound bewildering to the readers; the wilderness is equally astounding and enchanting. Diversity prevails here too, and can be revealing to tourists with stamina for intense travel all over the country on extended tours. This is the only way to know the biodiversity that prevails in the ecosystems present all over in all directions literally.

With five big cats especially the tiger and the lion, and more than two thousand species of birds there is no stopping for enthusiastic wildlife lovers. The niche ecosystems are spread far and wide harboring keystone species some of which are endemic. In order to experience a wildlife safari holiday one needs time and resources. To see the targeted wild animals one needs to travel extensively over a period of time. For overseas visitors this would mean frequent visits to the far reaches of the country. Spectacular is an understatement the wilderness is equally bewildering.
